Jade's Point Of View
"Dad, do I have to go on the boat?" I whined at my father. "Yes you do. I want you to see how great Miami is," He stated.
I rolled my eyes at him. "Nothing will ever compare to home," I snapped back. We had moved to Miami from South Shields in the UK because my father's business took off. Miami was a very nice place don't get me wrong, but I miss my friends and just the atmosphere of home.
"Jade try to look at the positives," my father exclaimed at me. "It's beautiful down here," I muttered sarcastically.
I walked onto the stupid boat and took a seat on one of the lounges. "Thank you princess," he said to me. He tried to kiss my head, but I wouldn't let him.
He sighed but walked over to the steering engine. I was really not looking forward to this at all. I really missed my old friends. We had been friends since childhood. Jesy, Harry, Niall, Jake and I had the best times together. We were always out doing things together and having good laughs.
I missed those days so much. My father told me we had to move eight months ago. We actually made the move six months ago. I had one friend so far. Her name was Dani and she was pretty nice but no Jesy.
I had kept in touch with my friends but it was expensive to text from country to country. Then I made a Twitter to help stay in contact with them. Jake and I never really talked, Harry and I had about a two days of conversation, I actually did talk to Niall and Jesy a lot, but it wasn't the same. Jesy told me how our group was slowly falling apart because both Harry and Niall had a crush on me. They admitted it after I had left.
I was truly flattered, but admitted to Jesy that I was bisexual. She said she was proud of me for coming out and that she kinda secretly knew.
That Harry and Niall wouldn't hang together much because of the incident. That meant that it was basically just Jake and Jesy because they were a couple and Niall and Harry had moved on with their lives.
"Jade want a Coke?" My dad asked me. I looked over at him and nodded. He passed me the cold liquid drink while I mumbled a thank you.
I held the cold bottle in my hands as I drank some of the liquid. The cold liquid felt amazing in the hot sun.
I took out my journal from the beach bag. I have had a journal since I was five. It helped me relax a lot and just get my feelings out. "Entry 1,128," I muttered while writing it on the top line.
Dear Journal,
My dad, brother and I moved to Miami about six months ago. I really miss home. It's pretty down here but I don't really have friends. Dani is cool, but I just really miss Jesy. Niall and Harry both admitted to having crushes on me.......weird right? No offense but Harry isn't my type at all. I like blondes and Niall is just my friend and nothing more... I think that's all for now journal. Uhm until next time ~ Jade
I turned to the next page in my journal. I looked back down at the bottle. One time I found a note in a bottle and it was so cool. The note was from Canada and I was in England.
With the next page I started to write once again. I wasn't even sure why I was writing this. Maybe I was bored. Maybe I wanted to see how far it went.
Dear whomever gets this message. Hi I'm Jade Thirlwall. I live in Miami but am originally from England (I miss it like crazy) . Let's see I'm 22 now which is exciting I guess. I like to sing a lot and draw. Also I write a lot. I already graduated college and I'm currently am working in Starbucks part time as well as a part time nurse. I'm not sure why I am writing this note. Haha I guess I was just kinda bored and wanted a new friend. To whomever gets this my Twitter is @Jadet92! I don't really have any other social media sorry!! Bye I guess. Let's see where this lands. Love xx Jade xx (Date January 28, 2015)
I ripped the page from the journal and finished the last of the Coke that was in the bottle. I stuffed my message inside of the bottle and placed the cap back on. Was I sure about doing this? I looked over at my father who was sleeping. I sighed and decided to chuck the bottle.
I brought my arm back and chucked the bottle as far as I could. I watched the small object plop in the water. I sighed still watching over the bottle seeing if it would go anywhere. Little did I know that so much would come from this little bottle.
