"Get up Lorraine. It's time to eat lunch," I looked up and saw the face of my older sister, Crishiela, looking down at me.

"You guys eat first. I'm not yet hungry," I replied and looked back at the cloudless blue sky.

"You're not hungry?" she asked with a trace of amusement in her voice. I chuckled. "Yeah," I said. She may be shocked that her sister who never refuse food does not want to eat.

"But you do know that we cannot start eating if we're not complete, right? You know how grandma is," she said. Yeah, right, grandma. My family and I-consist of my mother, father, older sister, younger brother and me- are visiting my grandmother in the rural area. Boring you may say but I like it here. Its peaceful and beautiful. It's a wonderful place to get away from the chaotic city.

"Now stand up and get your butt going," she said while pulling me up with all her strength. It's funny to see her face like this. I can see her veins popping out on her neck with her effort to help me up. Crishiela is 21 years old right now and is three years older than me. She is an attractive woman which means she is beautiful inside out. She has the height, the curve, the attitude and the brains. What else would us her family and her boyfriend wish for? Yes, she is taken. She's the girl. It would be weird if nobody would want her. Oh. You may be curious if I get insecure. Well yes I do sometimes. There are times that I feel inferior to her. Well, plenty of times. She's 5'8, I'm only 5 flat. She's valedictorian during her high school and currently a dean's lister in her fourth year of college while I got nothing to be proud of in high school and barely passing college. She's kind to the core, I'm kind to the surface. She's got the model's body while I'm just average. And the most important is that she is favoured by everyone while I watch from afar. Too much things to get insecure right? But I don't mind it too much. It's because I look up to her and most of all I love her.

"Humph!" she grunted as she finally got me up. I smiled as a way to say thanks. We just then walked in silence going back to the house. The house is found alone above a hill. It is not small nor is it big. It has a porch filled with flowers in pots, a living room, three rooms, kitchen, dining room and garage at the back of the house. The inside of the house is simple and cosy. One can feel at home in an instant.

When we entered the living room I instantly smelled the roasted chicken my grandma made. We approached the dining room and there they are my family sitting and chatting happily. Seeing this scene playing around my eyes makes me happy. It makes me forget all my worries in life.

"Hey Lorry you're so slow. I'm hungry!" complained by my little brother Conan as he noticed us approaching.

"The two ladies are here, let us start our meal now," my grandma said. And so I walked around the table and sat an unoccupied chair. We prayed and blessed the foods and started the meal.

The meal made me full so I decided to go to town proper and walk the calories off. Time in the rural place runs slow so I can leisurely do things such as walking. After ten minutes of walking I arrived at the heart of the town. This place even though small is full of life. Although this full of life is not like the chaotic city. What I meant by full of life is that the people here smiles, laughs and greets at you. Not like in the city where people are engrossed by their own busy lives. I love going to this kind of place. I walked around, looking for something that interest me. There's a convenience store, bargain shops, bar, carnival and a bookstore. Now I know what I should do.
