Grell couldn't help but let his mind stray to him once more.
William... this was the fifth time today he had thought about the supervisor.
The fifth time the image of how his smooth, tapered suit fit his lithe body.
How his sharp eyes pierced Grell to the core.
How his indifference made Grell feel that much more attracted to him.

"Damn it." The redhead hissed, his right hand thumping against the top of his desk quietly, "Get out of my head, you jerk!"
"Sutcliff-Senpai?" Asked a familiar voice, the blonde-haired Shinigami Ronald Knox then peeked his head into Grell's office, "Is everything alright?"
"Yes, it's fine." He responded, leaning his head into his left hand with a bored sigh.
"Alright then. Wanna take a break?" Ronald was sipping on a cup of... something.
Grell didn't know.
Ronald probably didn't either.
It was likely alcoholic, whatever it was.
"I suppose..." The other stood up and walked out of his office, closing the door and locking it behind him. He then followed his apprentice to the Break Room. Sitting down at one of the chairs, Grell kicked his heel-clad feet up onto the table and accepted the cup that Eric handed to him, then let his chartreuse eyes flick about the room deftly.
"How are you?" Eric inquired in a friendly manner, taking a seat across from Grell calmly. Alan was beside him, picking at some resemblance to food with a small sigh.
"Bored, as usual... I have overtime tonight, some reaping to do around midnight." The redhead explained, leaning the chair back onto two legs. He fidgeted a moment, then gave a loud exclamation of surprise as the chair tipped backwards. He expected to hit the floor, but instead a pair of swift hands righted the chair and Grell's legs, and their eyes met.
"William..." Grell mumbled.
"Honestly, Sutcliff..." The supervisor sighed, adjusting his glasses with his right hand, a scowl on his lips while his free hand remained on Grell's thigh. "How many times have I told you to sit in these chairs properly? My instructions were given for this reason exactly..."
"S-sorry..." A light hint of blush tinged the other's cheeks as he gazed up a William, then away from him, for embarrassment had settled in. William's hand moved off of Grell's thigh and the supervisor walked inside a doorway. A brief, mumbled conversation was exchanged between him and one of the other Shinigami, then he walked back out with a cup of coffee, placing a small note in front of Grell without another word.
After William had left, Grell opened the note and peeked at it.
Come into my office after your reaping this evening, we have some things to discuss. It said, scrawled in his sharp, neat cursive. Grell tucked the note into his inner pocket and took a deep breath.
"Ugh." He groaned, folding his arms on top of the table before laying his head down on top of them.
"You in trouble with the boss, Senpai?" Ronald asked, plopping down beside him.
"Probably." The scarlet-haired Shinigami mumbled, closing his eyes.
"What's it say?" The blonde inquired, prodding the other gently while taking on a curious expression.
"Just that he wishes to see me later on..." Grell leaned back up to look at the apprentice, lacing his gloved fingers together before placing his hands in his lap.
"If it were anyone other than William, I'd make a joke about them wanting to get you alone, but... knowing him..." Ronald glanced away, thinking of their boss's cruel attitude.
"Ahhh~ I wish..." Grell chuckled quietly, "I would love to get with Will a-ny-time~"
"Hah, you'd have better luck with that demon." Ronald said, rolling his eyes with a smile. Grell laughed and pushed away from the table, standing up while grabbing the glass of water given to him earlier before kicking the chair back into place.
"I'm going to sit at my desk for another hour or so before heading off to London. See ya, Ronald. Eric. Alan." He gave a light wave, it being returned by the three officers while he walked out of the Break Room.

As he left, he almost ran right into his supervisor, only being stopped by those firm gloved hands being placed on his shoulders.
"W-William! Apologies, I wasn't paying any atte-" Grell's rushed statement was quickly cut off.
"There is no need to apologize, this is as much my own fault as it is yours." William said smoothly, his narrow gaze meeting that of the other's for a long moment.
They shared it in silence, lost in each other's eyes for the longest time before they were interrupted by the sound of someone clearing their throat behind Grell.
"E-excuse me... my break time is over." Alan murmured, his pale cheeks flushing a bit.
"That it is." William responded, releasing the one he'd shared that strange moment with quickly. He then brushed past the both of them with no sign that anything out of the normal had happened.
Though Grell felt like he was about to faint. He actually stumbled into the wall as he tried to walk off, then leaned against it and shook his head.
"What the hell..." He mumbled, making his way back to his office.
When he got there, he played around with his lamp for about thirty seconds before collapsing onto his desk in boredom.
