Chapter One

It was a Saturday night and Cassia was getting ready for her friend Cameron's party. She was very excited because it was the first real party she had been to. A party with no reason other then to be with friends.

Cassia curled her hair and put on a pair of high wasted studded shorts. She paired it with a over sized muscle tank top and a blue bandeau. She went easy on the make up. Some concealer, blush, and mascara would do it.

She ran downstairs and into the living room. " Daaaad! Im ready!!"

"Im coming."

Her dad started the car and they were on their way. The ride was quiet, Cassia's mind wandering. When they got to Cameron's house Cassia jumped out with a quick bye to her dad. Next thing she knows, her dad is walking up to Cameron's parents.

"Im Don. Cassia's dad." Said with a smile. "I just wanted to make sure my little princess would be safe and I can see she will be."

Don and Cameron's parents talked for some time more and Cassia went into the house. She saw some of her friends and said hi. She skipped down the stairs to the basement. She saw Cameron and thanked him for inviting her.

She stood looking at her surroundings. It wasnt really decorated but there was some music playing and people were carrying drinks. Cameron was a big fan of eminem so Cassia didnt know many of the songs. It was Cameron's party so naturally there were some cute boys there but no one that stood out to her. Her best friend Winnie wasnt there tonight. She had some work for her mom to do.

It was getting hot in the basement and Cassia decided to go out back for a little while.

It was nearly dark and a bon fire was going. She sat on one of the logs and listened to the conversation. The boys were betting each other that they could jump over the fire. Cassia was busy laughing as her friend Kyle attempted the bet and didnt notice someone had sat down next to her.

He had blonde hair, that you could tell had been dyed. His eyes were a nice grey green color. He had thin lips and red cheeks. He wasnt very tall. But then again, neither was Cassia.

She turned away before he could notice she was staring at him. It was too late. He had seen and now he was staring at her. Cassia could feel the warmth in her cheeks and hoped that they werent as beat red as she thought.

The guy looked like he was going to say something, but Cassia got up and walked into the field across from the bon fire.

What am I doing? She thought to herself. Maybe he wanted to get to know her. She sat down and started braiding the pieces of grass she had pulled up.

"Um excuse me? Is this seat taken?"

Cassia turned around and it was the guy that had caught her staring at him.

"Um no? Im alone so.." Cassia said with a giggle.

"Yes but a girl like you, its always right to ask first." He said.

"What do you mean 'a girl like me'?" She said.

He looked at her with one eyebrow arched and said "Never mind."

They sat in silence.

"Soo..what's your name?" Cassia asked.

"Niall. Im from Ireland."

She just noticed his thick accent. How could she have missed that? Shes usually so attentive.

"And you have a spider crawling up your arm." He said flicking it off.

How was she being so delusional right now? Maybe it was him. He made her feel nervous, feel..what was the feeling Cassia felt?

"So are you going to tell me your name or are you going to keep staring at me? Maybe i should call you eyes" Niall said with a smirk and a snicker.

Cassia had not noticed she was starring at him again.

"Im Cassia."
