Author's Note
Hi, guys. This is Vithrix. As you should all know, I have moved from my old account, Johnthunder_ridge, to this one. As a result, I will be copying the previous chapters of Riakuit and adding them to this account. The revised episodes will have corrected mistakes and added sentences. So, enjoy.

"Ah, I can't believe I slept in!" I say to myself as I run down the street into the school yard. The blue tie of my uniform, showing that I am a sophomore, hangs loosely around my neck. I notice that the campus is completely void of anyone. The late bell rings, letting me know that I am, indeed, late.
I tear through the doors and sprint down the halls to my first class of the day. I slowly open the doors, hoping that Mr. Hamada doesn't see me. His balding head is turned toward the chalkboard, along with the rest of the class, as he writes down the math equation that we will be talking about today.
I silently slip into the room, close the door, and tiptoe across the room to my spot in the back.
"You're late, Kazito," says Mr. Hamada, turning around so that he can face me. The sun reflects across his glasses, masking his brown eyes. I can, however, still feel his gaze on me.
"I'm earlier than usual," I say in a small voice. It's true, I am actually here earlier than I usually am. This time, I actually got to see him write down the equation.
"That's no excuse. I will be seeing you in here again after school is out. Now take your seat." He turns around to finish writing. I quietly take my seat and grab a pencil from my leather suitcase. I turn my attention to the lesson and try not to fall asleep.
"Now, when we take the square root of c from the triangle and multiply it be the exponential value of x . . . ." Mr. Hamada says going on about the lesson. I sit there and watch him for a while, but my gaze slowly wonders to the window. I look out and see the small courtyard that the students use for lunch.
A flicker of movement catches my attention. I look to see where it is, but it's already gone. There it is again. It looks like a faint shadow quickly moving across the courtyard and disappearing at my side of the school. I see it again, climbing up the building, but I lose sight of it as it crosses Mr. Hamada's window.
What the crap was that? I think to myself.
"Yes, Mr. Fugiyoka. Do you have something to say on the matter?" Mr. Hamada asks. I must have been mouthing the words, I say in my head, realizing why Mr. Hamada asked me the question. "Well?"
"Umm, no, Mr. Hamada. I don't." I say weakly as everyone looks at me. The intensity of their gaze makes it feel as though they're looking straight through me.
"Very well. Pay attention." He continues on with his lecture. The next four periods go on without incident. No creepy shadows of that run across campus. No teacher telling me to meet with them after school because of something I did. I start walking down the hall to the lunch room when someone's hand grabs me and pulls me off to the side of the hall
"Hello, Mr. Handsome," a girl's voice says. I can't see much, because she pulled me into the janitor's closet, but I can see violet hair that goes down to her waist and the violet eyes that are so close I can see the pupil as it dilates.
"Oh, Haru. Not now," I say to the girl. She's been following me ever since she moved into the neighborhood, and it's getting kind of creepy. She keeps on bringing me chocolates and bouquets of red roses. The chocolates I wouldn't mind as much if they didn't look like hearts, but the roses. I don't even like roses.
"I was thinking that maybe I could come over to your place after school some time and you could help me with my science homework," she says, looking at me with her puppy dog eyes. "And maybe after that, we could go out to dinner at that fancy new restaurant down the street from the library."
"Two things," I reply, hoping that she hasn't found out where I live like she found out where my locker is and the fact that I live alone, "One; you realize I'm terrible at science, right? And two; this just sounds like a date." One that I don't want to go on, I add silently to myself.
Reality Pause
Now, listen. I would have put a stop to all this craziness forever ago, but whenever I bring up the matter, she evades the talk and says that she'll meet me some time during that day. It's not the fact that she's not pretty, because she is, or that she has a terrible personality, because she most definitely does not. It's just that she's overly creepy, verging on stalker, and, no, I am not making this up.
She invited me to her locker once and it is a sight that I wish I could get out of my head. Her entire locker is basically a shrine dedicated to me. She's got my picture, scented candles that smell like my cologne, she even has some of my shirts. Don't ask me where she got those. Believe me, I'm having a hard time finding out myself.
Resume Reality
"Fine," she says to me, her voice not sounding like she means it, "We won't go to dinner." She opens the door and lets both of us out. Her cream colored jacket of her school uniform is unbuttoned, showing the white dress shirt underneath. Her red tie, marking her in the grade below me, swirls around her neck.
Before I know what's happening, she reaches up and kisses me on the cheek. I instantly go rigid, a wave of jagged lines goes down my entire body, making my whole body go black and white, my eyes becoming nothing more than white holes in my head.
"See you later," she says walking down the hallway to the cafeteria, her hair swishing back and forth with every step she takes. I fall flat on the floor, not even believing that she just kissed me.

The rest of the day goes by so fast, I can hardly believe it when there's only five minutes left of class. Nothing else happened from the time that Haru kissed me from now except for a few more shadows scuttling across the ground. I sit there and wait for the bell to ring when a voice comes over the intercom.
"Kazito Fugiyoka, go to Mr. Hamada's room. Kazito Fugiyoka to Mr. Hamada's room."
I stand up, gather my books, and leave the classroom. I go down the stairs to Mr. Hamada's room when a girl passes by me.
"See you after school, Kazi-Wazi," the student says, passing me by. Darn that Haru.
"Don't ever call me that again," I say up the stairs.
