Asking

So we left to go and ask our parents if we could travel through all the way to the waterfall.

Roy was nervous when he asked he had rehearsed with his sister then he got the courage at dinner and said
"mom dad I wanna ask you for a favor." Then his mom said "What is it son." "Since next week is a professional grading week and then a month later we are moving is it possible Henry, Kiki, and I could go on an hiking adventure to the falls."
His parents gave each other a look. His dad said
"Son are you sure your ready for this because the waterfall is a good 4-6 hike there and back. This seems a little out of your comfort zone."
Roy thought for a minute then he said "Dad I'm 16 if I can babysit my little sister for a weekend, i'm sure I can handle a going to a waterfall with my friends."
They looked at each other his mom said "Honey we only want what's best for you"
"Mom I just want to have one last adventure with my friends please." Then they cracked the dad said "Ok son on Saturday we will buy you a sleeping bag and some pepper spray."
Roy quickly said "Thank you guys I really appreciate." They finished dinner then they went on and did their things.

Sadly it wasn't as easy for Kiki to get her mom on bored. Her mom wasn't sure about this. They went on for about 45 minutes before this happened. She didn't want her baby to go on a week long adventure with two boys. Then Kiki said "Mom you've known Henry and Roy for many years we are close enough to were we don't even think about doing that kind of stuff."
"Oh honey you don't know what those boys are thinking they are going through...."
Kiki quickly interrupted and quickly said "Mom how old were you when dad took you out by yourself?"
"Honey what's this got to do with your situation."
Her mom started wondering what was the point of this question.
"Mom answer the question."
"Fine I was 15 and he was 17, but he talked to my dad and got permission." Her mom's eyes grew with tears
"Mom I know you miss dad but I'm sure if he was here he would want what's best for, which is moving to Seattle, all I'm asking for is one last adventure with my friends please mom please."
Her mom stop and thought about it then slowly said
"Ok.. We can find your dads old camping things" Kiki gave the biggest hug to her mom and said
"Thank you so much you don't know what this means to me."
Then her mom said "You're welcome can you spend two hours with me and watch a movie."
Kiki said "Of course I will mom I am here now why wouldn't I you are the most important person in the world to me." They put on a movie and enjoyed their time together.

Henry had the hardest time because his dad agreed but his mom was against it. They went back and forth for what seemed like hours but was actually an hour and a half then it was quiet then after a few minutes later they agreed they came out to ask him a few questions, manly his mom, she said "a What makes you think you are mature enough?"
Henry thought about it then said "Well if I stay home alone for 3 hours a day while you guys are at work I have one B- and the ready are A's I also have a job and I babysit my brother, who FYI is old enough to take care of himself." His mom wasn't giving up so easily "Who is going"
"Mom you already know" said Henry "Roy Kiki and me"
His mom said "I will tell you in the morning." Henry smiled just the thought that his parents might let him go gave him joy. It was a long night he couldn't sleep but the second he did his mom walked in and said "Honey I will let you go but you have to buy your own supplies understand we won't help you at all" Henry just smiled and nodded then he got ready for school.
