I stared at the beast, who I dare call mate, and spouted the most beautiful phrase to ever come to my ears.

"I HATE YOU."

The way my mate stared at me was quite entertaining if I do say so myself. He looked like a kicked puppy, denied of his bone. Welp, too bad puppy, 'cause Colty no likey the mutty.

"How can you hate a person you've never met?" He dare uttered with steely gray eyes, and a jawline to die for, oh and don't forget those angel like lips- wait... whoa, whoa, whoa, Galen if you don't quit with the perving, I will molly whop you upside the head! All I receive in reply was a huff; rude wolf. Sometimes, I just want to kill hi-.

I was cut off mid rant...again by the clearing of a throat. I dare sucked on a tooth, turned toward the brute, and muttered a rude yes. "You never answered the question..." He pouted. Let me just tell you that was the ugliest thing I've ever seen, oh bubbles who am I kidding, I'm literally squealing on the inside. Galen and I are basically having a fanboy fest.

"Um...well, I can easily hate anyone, especially you, mate." I explained to the fool.

"Why would you hate me, of all people? I am supposed to provide for you, be your one and only. Why hate such a thing as love?" He was confused. How cute.

"Because love does not exist in such a world as cruel as this one."

"But what if I could give you a change; a world that is not as cruel as you have come to believe? Would you accept me then?"

"NO..." I stared at him with my eyes hardened.

"Please; a date in the least?"

"Hell to the no!" I answered firmly.

The next thing I know, I'm being pressed up against a firm chest. All I feel is warmth when I'm with him. He pressed his lips against the shell of my ear, causing me to shiver unconsciously.

Let me in.

Then, he began to walk away, disappearing into the foggy night. I sigh, and sag in relief. Damn, how could one boy cause so much tension? I start to rub my shoulders to release the tension, but stop when I hear the crinkling of a paper. I peered down, only to see a slip of crumpled paper stuck to the bottom of my shoe. I plucked the piece off my shoe, and glanced at the writing, only to view a name.

Hmm, my mate.

Kaine.

Otai...thank god introductions are over with, or close to over with; I'm not too sure about that... Anyway, you've now met the dark, and mysterious Kaine. Ooh la la. Next chapter will be in a different POV. I bet you can guess who *wink wink*.

Until next time. Deuces✌️
