Roc's pov

When they said jewelz was dead inside I jumped for joy but outside I shed some tears, but that was two weeks ago. I am worried about tee though she looked lost and hurt . I know I shouldn't be like this but Leah was wifey I mean I shouldn't be mad at jewelz but it's hard not to be when she know how I felt about Leah . It hurts me that one of my good friends betrayed me . As I lay alone in bed I look at my ceiling . I decided to go out tonight and enjoy myself. I pulled out some Blue bandana joggers and white shirt with "I strapped your b*tch " in blue bandana letters ! I settled on some white and blue Adidas . I jumped in the shower and 15 minutes later I was out , I did my thang and got dressed. I grabbed my wallet , keys & phone . I locked up and drove 30 minutes to this new club called sprinkles . I wanted some new faces . I went in and started vining and I ordered a Henny on ice . I felt eyes burning a hole in my head and as i look it's a no label I'm guessing staring at me. I smile . She look like a stem but she was sexy so I introduced myself .

Me: hello am I see you staring I'm Rochell but everyone calls me Roc and you are

Unknown: I'm Leeka but everyone calls me Leek I noticed you were trying to figure out what I was look I'm a no label I dress how I feel I can be submissive and dominant.

Me : I just smile and said nice to meet you and I like that .

Leek : oh yeah we'll tell me about yourself Roc.

We talked for about and hour before we both got hungry

and decided to go grab a bite to eat from this place called Loulia's a soul food restaurant . As we say and talked I found out we had a lot in common I liked leek already she was mad cool . After we ate the bill came and we both reached for it .

Me : nah I got it ma it's cool

Leek; nah it's okay I got it

Me: nah don't worry you can get it next time

Leek: oh you know it's going to be a next time

Me: oh defiantly ! I laugh and smile . She finally gives in and let me pay . We exchange numbers then I take her back to her car and say good bye . Yo I never spent hours talking to a female even with Leah we never talked like this . I made it home an hour later after I stopped to get gas and a couple of white owls . I made it home and started rolling up . A few minutes later I got a text from an unknown number

Unknown number : I enjoyed your company sexy - leek

Me: I enjoyed yours too beautiful

Leek : she texted back a blushing emoji before saying goodnight .

I replied and tossed my phone on the charger as I smoked my blunt and I finished and drifted off to sleep .

My alarm started blaring and it was time for work. I never told y'all what I do huh ? Well to put it straight , I'm a lawyer . I have my own law firm I bought it with the money I was left with when my grandfather passed away , I was loaded but after college , I wanted to open my own law firm and I made it happen . I thought to myself damn you're successful , your company is doing well and you're only 27 not a bad life. I stretch and went to the bathroom and did my hygiene thing then I jumped in the shower . I settled on some khaki slacks , a blue button down collar shirt , .& a blue bow tie to finish off my look . I braided my locks to the back and then I sprayed on some of my cologne . I put on some blue loafers and then I grabbed my watch and keys and phone and my brief case and notes ( I forgot to look over them ) and I headed to my office . I was a well know and well respected lawyer . I walked in my office and greeted everyone I called out to my assistant Lisa

Me : Lisa !

Lisa : yes Ms . Jones

Me: can you tell me what meetings I have today , push my 5 o'clock meeting back until 6 and hold all my calls for the next 30 minutes please oh and can you please go out and get me a large Caramel late'

Lisa : she replied yes and told me I had a meeting in 30 minutes with a Darnell Williams and his mother and I have another meeting at 3 with a Leeka James and that's it until the 5 o'clock meeting you want me to push back also I know you didn't read over your case file while I advise you to do but I printed out the notes for you that you'll need for the next two meetings .

I smiled my assistant stayed on top of her game . I reminded myself to give her a raise . I thanked her and then prepared myself for my meetings this was going to be a long day.

I walked in the meeting with Darnell and his mother and I greeted them.

Hello I'm Rochell jones and as I looked over your case file, it says you're facing murder charges and you're only 17 years old, can you explain to me.

Darnell: listen I didn't kill nobody I was in the wrong place at the wrong time . You do believe me right?

Me: it's not my place to believe you or not it's my place to help you win . His mother looked nervous as I read over the case file more a name stood out . "Murdered Jameya Collins ". My eyes got bucked and I couldn't breathe I know I was mad at jewelz but it was possible her murder was siting in my office and it was my job to prove him innocent. After a few more words exchange I said okay we have a case and enough evident to prove you weren't there we shook hands

and they left. I felt sweat beads form on my forehead and a lump in my throat . I had about and two hours before my three o'clock meeting and I decided to time to catch up on my next case before she got here. Before I knew it, Lisa was buzzing saying my 3 o'clock was here and I didn't realize I was so out of it I barely read over the file . I replied thank send them up . Hello ms jones I'm Leeka James said a familiar voice I looked up and my eyes met a shocked Leek .
