(Kyle's POV)
I stared at the ceiling, debating my two choices. Option #1: I could face my fear of rejection, and ask my crush out . Option #2: I could live in agony for the rest of my life because I never did. To be honest, option #2 was looking pretty good right now. I'd rather live in agony then have my best friend, Brandon, hate me because I liked him. There was no way he would like me back. Sure, he was openly gay, and didn't have any problem with me holding his hand and using him as a pillow, but that was just because we'd been friends for such a long time that this was normal behavior for us.
I groaned as I sat up. I heard my phone buzzing, signaling that I got a text. I stood up, and walked over to my desk, and picked up my phone. There was a text from Brandon. I felt my heart pound as I unlocked my phone to reply to his simple message of "hi".

(Brandon's POV)
I could feel my hands shaking. He doesn't like you back, a voice nagged in the back of my mind. Kyle will hate you if you tell him how you feel.
I had decided that tonight was the night i was going to tell Kyle how I felt about him. I knew the chance that he liked me back was very slim, but there was still a chance.
I decided I would text him, and ask if me waned to come over. If he said "yes" I would tell Kyle that I liked him. If he said "no" I wouldn't.
I paced around my room, and waited for a response of the simple "hi" I sent Kyle. I practically jumped on my bed as I heard my phone buzz. He had a responded with "hey". OH MY F*CKING GOD! HE SAID "HEY" TO ME I screamed internally. Sure, Kyle had said "hey" to me before, but I was in love. Sue me. My fingers shook as I sent "do you want to come over and hang out?" I sat on the floor and waited for a response.

(Kyle's POV)
"Do you want to come over?" I read.  OH MY GOD HE INVITED YOU OVER. YOU HAVE TO GO. DO IT. SAY YES. The lovesick voice in the back of my mind screamed. I quickly responded with a "sure. I'll be there in 10 minutes". Then got to work.
I decided that the best way to profess my love was to write a note. A smile note just saying this:
Date me? Yes or no? (Circle one)
(Ten minutes later)
I knocked on Brandon's door. In not even five seconds, the door flew open, and the worlds most handsome boy was standing there. His hair was all messy, and I fought the urge to fix it.
"Uh, hey," Brandon said, smiling a little at me. "Are you just gonna stand there, or are you going to come inside?"
I nodded and stepped inside, and fallowed Brandon upstairs to his room. I sat on the floor in my usual spot, and he sat next to me, as usual.
"Uh, Brandon, I have to give you something..." I awkwardly said, breaking the comfortable silence we had been sitting in. I pulled the note out of my pocket, and handed it to him.

(Brandon's POV)
Date me? Yes or no? (Circle one) I read. By then, I was screaming internally. HOLY SHIT HE FEELS THE SAME WAY! THIS IS GREAT! I screamed. Apparently, my joy didn't show on my face, because Kyle shifted awkwardly and gave a quiet "I understand if you don't feel the same way. I'm sorry."
I looked at him, threw the note aside, and quickly kissed Kyle. Obviously, I felt the same way.
Suddenly, the door to my room was opened, and in the doorway stood my older brother. He looked from me to Kyle and went "it's about time you two professed your undying love for each other. It was getting annoying watching you two give the other person a lovesick glance." Then, he walked out of the room.
It looks like my night wouldn't be so bad after all.
