NYLA
I wanted him to get off of me, but at the same time I wanted him to stay. But, I knew if I continued to stand here and do nothing he would win because he would've got his way. I stood there with him for a moment and waited til I felt his body relax before running and pushing him against the opposite wall.
"Now what?" I smiled and got up in his face. It was more of a statement than a question.
"Just admit it, you want me." He smirked.
"Boy, bye." I laughed and walked away.
"Stop playing." He said as he followed me.
"This game is kinda tired. I wanna go home." I sighed.
"If that's what you want." He said, I could tell he felt rejected. We got into his car and he drove me home. We joked around and had normal conversation all the way home. I realized he wasn't all arrogance, but he's still an ass.
"Home sweet home." He said as he pulled up in front of my building.
"Mhm.. Thanks for the ice cream." I said quietly.
"You're welcome." He said and stared at me. He slowly moved in to kiss me. I leaned in a bit til our lips were about an inch apart.
"See you tomorrow." I smiled and hopped out the car. I heard him sigh, he didn't drive away until I was inside.
KENNETH
She's real sweet, when she wants to be. I liked that she teased me, but it wouldn't be long before she gave in to what she really wants. My phone rang interupting my thoughts.
"What's up?" I answered.
"We got the meeting with Rocko. Tomorrow night 6pm." Landon replied.
"Alright cool, get the team ready." I instructed before hanging up. I drove home to my condo and took a seat. I been running around all week tryna keep up with school and business but I never get a minute to just relax. As soon as I closed my eyes I heard a knock on the door.
"Who is it?" I groaned. Not a lot of people knew where I lived so when someone did come by I was always surprised.
"Open the damn door, Kenny." I heard a female voice say back knowing exactly who it was.
"Hey mama." I said as I opened the door and saw my mom. She was a short, chubby, darkskin woman. She was the sweetest woman ever but when it came to certain things she was just a pain in my ass.
"Don't you hey mama me, I been looking all around for you and can't get a hold of my own son." She said as she walked inside and took a seat. I shut the door and sighed; I felt a lecture coming on.
"At least you keep the house clean, but I guess you barely here cause you busy running the streets huh?" She said and I just laid back down on the couch. "Just like your daddy. You even look like him, thinking you running things now and before you know it you're gone." She continued.
"I ain't even trying to hear that right now mama." I said irritated.
"Well you gon' here it! I ain't one of these little girls on the street Kenneth. Watch how you talk to me boy." She warned. I decided I was just gunna keep my mouth shut.
"I don't wanna turn my back on you. You could be something. You could play basketball, you could play football, do whatever you like but instead you wanna run around and sell drugs." She went on and on, I decided to agree just so she could shut up. Her voice started to drown out as I began to fall asleep.
