Jack

I walked out of school and saw Hiccup and Astrid saying goodbye to Elsa.

I wanted to say goodbye to her, but I stopped myself. Hiccup walked up to me. "We still on for movie night?"he asked "Yeah" I answered letting my eyes follow Elsa's car. "We should have invited Elsa?" Hiccup guessing my line of thought. " You kidding me, I hardly know her, besides Rap would kill us!" I answered. "You like her though?" Hiccup asked. "Hiccup I'm not going to ask her out if that's what your thinking!" I said guessing his line of thought. " She's not my type" I continued. "Why ..."Hiccup! No more!" I said putting my hand up. "I got to go. I'll see you later." I said jumping into my car.

I pulled out and waved to hiccup. Some girls waved at me or blew kisses. I just winked back. I thought of Jamie. I missed her a lot. I chose not to dwell on those thoughts. Instead I thought of Elsa. She is pretty. Nice. Gentle. And she isn't fake like all the other girls. She's different. She doesn't create drama to get attention. Her beauty does that all by itself. "You like her though?" was the sentence that kept rolling through my head. Sure I do, but she looks like she's a Christian, and I don't want to get messing around with Christians. I like her period. It's not going to go any further than that. I'll see to it. Plus it's only the first day, no one but a crazy person falls in love in a day!

I dismissed Elsa from my mind, as I pulled into my drive.

My house was a typical city home. Small. But it was home. As I walked in the front door I could smell fried chicken. It was on of my favorite foods. I threw my backpack on the couch, and walked into the kitchen. My mom was at the stove, I put my arms around her waist and kissed her cheek. "How was today?" She asked. "Oh it was good." I answered as she handed me a plate of food. "Oh Jack, before your friends come the dishes have to be done." She said as I sat at the table. "Ok" I said my mouth full of chicken. "Where are the keys?" She asked. I pointed on the counter. "Ok great, love you!" And she walked out the door. She slept all day and worked night shifts at Buffalo Wild Wings. She usually brings me something home. I ate the rest of my food, and went upstairs to my room. I went to my desk and pulled out my drawing pad and pencils. I sat on my bed and closed my eyes.Who to draw, who to draw? Suddenly Elsa's image popped into my head.I cleared all the other people away. I opened my eyes and started drawing. She has a strong, but thin mouth, stately shoulders, small, but delicate hands , long round arms and smooth curved waist and hips. I quickly got a 'speed sketch' or full outline of Elsa. I looked at it a signed her name and I don't know why, signed mine under hers. I got up and went downstairs to do the dishes.
