The Town

Chapter 2

    When I arrived at the school everyone was outside at their cars chatting with their friends probably bragging about how fun their summer was or already spreading nasty rumors around..."can't help but bitches love to gossip." I laughed at myself then parked next to a jeep that almost looked like mine but black. Sitting inside was a tall guy with dirty blonde hair with dark green eyes, he hadn't noticed me because his radio was so loud, when I reached down in the floor broad I had honked my horn "great I already look like an idoit" by the time I got up he had already gotten out of the car and was smiling at me. "Hey I'm Brent need some help?" I smiled back at his question "no I'm  good but thanks!" he stared at me for a second then went on with asking me questions "your Brie Nicole right?" he asked  "yeah I am how'd you know my name?"  I said back awkwardly "word travels fast in this town in other words that means if you hook up with someone everybody will now by the next hour" he laughed, "....nice to know" I said while walking away. He ran up to me apologizing "hey I'm  sorry I don't know how to act around such a beautiful girl like yourself. I stopped walking and turned around "listen am not looking for a  boyfriend or anything, so do me a favor and leave me alone." I rolled my eyes and walked on. As soon as I got into the doors of the high school everybody and I mean everybody stopped what they were doing and looked at me. I reared around taking a glance at around one. I shoke my head and reached for my phone and earbuds and started playing "wake me up when September ends" by Green day. I looked down at my schedule I had Math first worst subject ever "dammit" I said under my breath. I heard someone say my name I turned around to find a tall redheaded girl with a lip piercing standing behind me. "Hi I'm  Alex I'm  part of the welcome committee!"  She said after a warm and welcoming smile. "Oh hi are you here to show me around the school or something?" I asked "Yes indeed I am and plus you'll miss most of 1st period so I think you'll like that" she joked I couldn't help but notice a boy standing off to the side of her. He  was almost...beautiful he was tall, with brown hair with really deep brown eyes almost black as night, and is lips they were the perfect shade of red, he was very muscular you could tell he works out because of how tight the sleeves were on his arms. They both noticed I was staring at him. Before I could say anything he introduced himself "Hi I'm Tyler I just moved here too." I smile at him and he smiled back. "The school has made your schedules almost the same so you'll someone by the end of the day" she joked but almost coming out bitchy. As the three of us walked down the hall way Alex stopped because of her phone was ringing. I had made my way over to the water fountain when I raised back up Tyler was standing next to me I jerked a little. "Did I scare you" he laughed "A little" I answered back He looked at me then turned away "nice jeep" he said quietly, "Thanks when did you see it?" I asked "well not to be creepy but I saw you getting in your car this morning" he said quickly with his head down "Wait were you the that was staring at me when I was pulling out?" almost sounding surprised "Duh" he laughed then smiled I couldn't help but notice his smile it was perfect just like him. After that we both walked over to Alex she said she was happy that we were getting to know each other. Then she proceed to walk us to first period. When we walked in everybody was talking with the teacher or with each other. Alex told us we could walk in and find a seat. Weirdly enough there were two empty seat in front of each other Tyler took the front and I took the back. By the time we sat our things down the bell rang I was about to walk out but Tyler grabbed my hand. I turned around almost terrified to see what he wanted to tell me. "'So what do you have next period?" he asked "lab and I'm pretty sure you do too." I answered he looked down and shook his head yes. We both were completely unware of where the class was. So I went over and asked a girl at her locker she told me downstairs then take a right and by the way welcome to Mountains Peak! I told her thank you then walked away to tell Tyler. We were half way down the steps when I tripped and almost fell face first into the floor, but I didn't he grabbed me very quickly and turned my face towards his. I stared into his brown almost black eyes he left me breathless. He picked up his hand that was not holding me from falling and moved my hair out of my face. He whispered "you know your beautiful right?" I turned my head and smiled then I could feel my face getting red was I blushing? I never blush, why is he making me do it? I looked back at him not knowing what to do next. Then he got extremely close to my face my first thought was "Is  this really happening is he going to kiss me?" But no he said "we should get to class" He let go of me and we walked till we arrived at the door that read "lab" In all caps. When we got into the lab there were only about I would say four people not including us. We ended up sitting next to each other of course and that's when the teacher said very loud "students welcome back! Remember the person you are sitting next to today will be your partner for the rest of the year so choose wisely." I could feel everyone's eyes on me including Tyler's. I turned to look at him he almost looked nervous like he was going to ask me something. "I was wondering if maybe we could go and explore the town together Saturday night." I was shocked at what he asked me before I could think of anything I said back "Sure! My parents are In Europe till December so I can do whatever" did I really just say that? Why did I tell a complete stranger that they won't be home? "Alright I'll pick you up around six does that sound good?" I shook my head yes with a smile.
