The bell rings and I gather my supplies quickly, get up and make my way to the door. I walk into the building and see my friends waiting. Emily makes eye contact and waves me over."Go get your food so we can eat outside." "Oh. Y-yea okay." I have no idea why I'm so nervous, we eat outside all the time. There's a total of 9 of us and we don't get enough seats to sit together inside. I get in line, grab my food and we all walk outside to our normal spot, which just happens to be behind the school. A little too close to the woods for my comfort, if I might add.

"Are you guys going to the party?" Emily asked us. I hear them all agree and discuss all the cute boys going. I zone out at this point thinking about earlier when the random guy waved at me from the woods. Did he see me staring at him? How did he see me staring at him? How did he know I was staring at him and not something behind him? "Cynthia!" Emily stood up and slammed her hands against the table. I quickly broke my gaze from the woods and looked up to meet her eyes. "Huh?" I asked. " I just asked you if you're going to the party," she said crossing her arms and sitting back down. " What? Which one?" She's probably talking about the one they were just talking about. I shake my head and ask, "I mean when and where?""After graduation. In the woods." I stopped what I was doing and turned to look at the woods. "Oh," was all I could choke out.

Somehow, here I was, at the mall, looking for an outfit for the party. "Look at this dress. I'm going to try it on," Emily squealed in excitement. "You do know the party is in the woods, right?" I told her, raising my eyebrow. "You do know she doesn't care, right?" Morgan said. We both busted out laughing. After going to a couple of stores, I found my perfect outfit.
"Let's go get our nails done for graduation," Morgan suggested. We agreed and headed for the nail salon. I hated going there, the smell made me get a horrible headache but it is graduation. I'll only graduate once from high school, so I made an exception.

(Graduation day)
After getting home and getting congratulated by my parents, I walked upstairs and changed out of my cap and gown and into a tank top and sweats. The party doesn't start until 8 and it's barely 4:12. I unlock my phone, and see that I actually have 3 messages. The first one is from my aunt saying 'Congratulations sweetie.' I type a quick thank you and read the next one. It says 'Hey :) I was wondering if you're going to the party tonight.' From Luke, my best friend and the guy I have a slight crush on but I mean who wouldn't. I text back 'Yes I am. I'll see you there :).' The last one is from Emily, reading 'Don't forget about the party!!! And don't forget to look cute you never know who you'll find there ;).' I respond,'I won't! But call me around 7 just in case.' I jump into my bed and decide to take a long nap.
I wake up to my favorite song playing and reach out to get my phone,"Hello?" "Tell me you weren't just sleeping? It's 7:45 you better start getting ready to go. Are you going with me or are you driving? You know what? Just come over then I'll drive us there," Emily said. "Yea. Okay. I'll be there in 20," I told her, throwing the covers off me. We said our goodbyes and I hang up. I walk into the bathroom and look in the mirror. My hair and makeup still look okay, so I go put on my shoes, brush my teeth and spray on some perfume. I unplug my phone and head downstairs where my mom is, "Mom can you drive me to Emily's? She's going to drive us to the party." "Sure honey," she says.
"Be careful, okay? Don't do drugs. Don't get drunk. And most definitely don't get pregnant," she says sternly, before kissing my forehead. "I know mom. I won't. Bye," I tell her, getting out of the car. I walk up to Emily's house and knock. Not even a minute has passed when she's already pulling me inside. "The party already started. Come on help me into my dress," she says dragging me upstairs.
"You better not get drunk. Who's going to drive after the party? But you better party hard. It's not every day we go to a party in the woods," she rambles on after we get in the car. I turned to look outside when I remember that guy waving at me. That was over a week ago plus it's not like he'll be at the party. It was probably some freshman skipping class. "Wouldn't that be a good idea, Cynthia?" Emily asks me. "Wait. What would?" I look back at her. "A camping trip. Maybe we could search for Slender Mansion," she says wiggling her eyebrows. "Ha. Very funny," I say, rolling my eyes. Creepypasta is one of the many things we have in common, but we both know they aren't real. "We're here. We have to leave the car and walk a bit," she tells me. We step out of the car and follow the extension cord coming out of the cabin. I can hear the music from where we are, which shows that the party has already started. Emily complains all the way there, talking about how beauty hurts and why heels aren't comfortable.
Right in the middle of the "dance floor" is a giant bonfire. Christmas lights are hanged on trees and the dj is flashing cool lights around. The music isn't that loud yet and people are swaying to the music. Someone comes by and hands us marshmallows on a stick. We gladly accept them and head over to the bonfire. "This is actually really cool," I say to Emily, taking a bite out of the marshmallow. "Just wait until they bring the beer and tequila," she says, waving at her friend on the other side.
After a while, someone did bring the alcohol. Red plastic cups were passed around and suddenly the music was louder, the crowd was bigger and the people were partying harder. Emily left me a couple of minutes ago and I have no idea where she went.
"Hey Cynthia. Why are you all alone," I turn to see Luke, smirking at me. "Hey. Um. Victoria just left me and I don't know if any of my other friends are here yet," I say, smiling. "Well, while you wait, do you wanna go dance with me?" He says, extending his hand out for me. I place my hand in his and we walk over where everyone is dancing. Right now they're jumping around, going in a circle. We join them and he asks "So, any big plans for summer?" We talked and laughed until I heard Morgan calling me. "Go ahead. It was nice talking to you," Luke says, giving me a hug. "You too. Bye," I wave at him and start walking towards Morgan.
"Was that Luke? You guys are so cute. I don't know why y'all don't date. You guys would be the cutest couple," she says, taking a sip of her drink. "Why aren't you drinking anything? This is a party. Enjoy it," she asks, dragging me towards the coolers. "Here have a shot. You need it," she says, handing me a cup. I drink it all in one gulp and feel it burn my throat. "Now let's go dance," she squeals pulling my arm, walking towards the group of people. She's clearly drunk. I don't object and start dancing again.

I've lost track of time and I think I'm starting to sweat. The fire wasn't helping at all. I yelled over the music to Morgan, "I'm going to take a walk. It's really hot." She nods and I leave, following the trail. I stop when I'm far enough from the party. I look up to find a full moon, shining bright. I smile and think about how this party isn't as bad as I expected.
Suddenly I'm pushed up against a tree. "Hey," a husky voice says in my ear. I try to push him off of me but he holds my wrists in place, "Look I'm not that drunk," I say, looking at the ground by his feet.
"I just wanted to meet you," he tells me, lifting my chin to look at him. "I've seen you around and you're quite... interesting," he says, whispering the last part in my ear, sending shivers down my spine.
