A harsh knock on the door echoed through the living room as I clambered up from my seat on the couch, yelling at my mum that I was getting it. I was waiting for Ally to pick me up and take her back to her house, as she already had her license and I hadn't yet took the test. I grabbed my bags and swung open the door.
I looked up, expecting to see Ally standing there, but instead saw a male figure looming over me.
'Madi,' Harry addressed me with a nod of his head and a smirk on his face, knowing I wasn't very fond of the nickname.
'What are you doing here?' I asked, dropping my bags and crossing my arms over my chest.
'Ally sent me to get you, she's running late from cheer practice' He said as he ruffled his hand through his unruly curls.
'Are you sure? You're not playing any tricks on me, right?' I questioned him, staring up at him. Our height difference was evident.
'No tricks Madi, now come on. It's starting to rain' He sighed and I picked up my bags and followed him outside with a huff.
I locked the door behind me and followed him down the driveway in silence to his car. I threw my bags in the back and hopped in the passenger seat. As he started his car and began to drive off, I leant forward to switch the radio station. Harry pushed my hand away and turned the volume up.
'I hate this song' I grumbled and looked out the window, watching the other cars go past.
'Too bad, this is my car. I could've easily said no and stayed at home'
I rolled my eyes and stayed quiet, knowing he probably didn't even like the song - he just turned it up to spite me.
As you can already tell, Harry and I don't like eachother. In fact I hate him, and I have for the longest time.
I first met him when I was in year 8, I had only just turned 13 year olds and he was 15. I met him through my best friend Ally, Harry is her older brother. I had a hopeless crush on him for the whole year, and I would practically swoon over him whenever I went over to Ally's house and I probably spent more time staring at Harry than I did talking to Ally. For some reason, Harry's never liked me and he used to make rude comments every time I went over to her house. I fought back and from then on, we've done nothing but argue and yell at each other whenever we see eachother. Ally tries to solve it, but both of us are too stubborn to talk it through. Not that I would ever be friends with him;I hate him.
'We're here' Harry said, turning off the car and getting out, slamming his door.
I hopped out of the car and got my bags out of the back. After Harry locked the car, I proceeded to walk up the driveway. I got to the door and twisted the handle, pulling on it and realising Harry had gone inside and locked it. I could hear the TV on loudly in the living room, so I tapped on the glass and sent him a cold glare once he looked at me. He had locked me out.
'Harry! You better get your ass off the couch and let me in!' I threatened and I heard him laugh.
'Or what?'
I cursed under my breath, knowing he wasn't going to give up, he was clearly enjoying my frustration. I pulled the window open that went into the living room, that he had stupidly left unlocked, and threw my bag in before me. I saw Harry look over at me as I turned around and jumped up on the window sill, bending over and sliding in. My feet landed on the carpet and I shut the window behind me. I spun around, a harsh look already on my face, ready to shoot at Harry.
