New Years in New York

The Date is December 31.

Rose is setting at her desk at Almaelue when she starts to think how wonderful it would be to be able to kiss Albert at midnight, but with his overbearing mother knew it be difficult. Mary enters the office to see Rose in deep thought "SO Rose what are you thinking about?"

"Oh just how it's New Years Eve, and I don't have someone to kiss."

"What about your boyfriend Mr.Peterson."

"Well, if his mother losses her rangs on him, then I can kiss him at Midnight." Mary is just smiling, because Rose finally admitted the fact the she us dating the boss man."Wait I didn't just say that."

"Oh just the fact you are dating our boss."

"No, I didn't; I admitted the fact that I have feelings for him." Albert at this time walks into the office to see his Rosie arguing.

"Who do you have feelings for Ms. Alvarez?"

"Someone."

"Come on Rose! I know that you are  dating someone with dark hair who is tall, and skinny who also looks a lot like Mr. Peterson."

"How do you know that I am dating someone?"

"Last week I came by this office looked in, and saw you two flirting up a storm looking into each others eyes, and lets not forget to mention one night I dropped your apartment to see you guys kissing, and oh you two argue so much, so everyone this office thinks you two are a couple. Saying that Mr. Peterson you should spend New Years with your girlfriend and kiss her at midnight, so she knows that she means just  as much to you that your mother does, maybe even more, because she doesn't have to love you, but obviously does considering she puts up with all of your lying you not showing up for dates. So call your mother and say that you are going out with friends, and that you are a man in his thirties, and you can do that."

"Don't you think I have tried that, but my mother doesn't want  me hanging out with my friends,and every date I had with Rose that I didn't show up is for that reason. I love er and want to spend more time with her," at this point Albert goes over to a shocked Rose's desk helps her stand up, then plants a passionate kiss on her lips Rose is still for a moment then responds by deepening the kiss and putting her arms around his neck, and Albert puts his around her hips. "Rose I may not be able to kiss you at midnight, but I sure want to, and I promise you there will be a New Year that I kiss you, and who knows that we may be married at the point."

"Sonney Sonney."Both Mary and Rose roll their eyes, and before Mae comes into this room Albert plants a small kiss on Rose's lips.

"Those kisses were your New Years kisses for this year."

"Albert I love you."

"You too."Mae enters the office.

"What are these two women doing in here?"

"Momma, this is Rose my secretary, and this Mary our receptionist."

"Hello Mary, hi  Rose, Sonney are you ready to go?"

"One sec Momma, I wanna wish my staff a Happy New Year."Mae leaves "Happy New Year Rose, Mary, and to everyone else."

"Albert, how do you only know mine and Mary's name?"

"Mary is your bestfriend." Albert goes to meet his mother outside.

Rose starts to sit down wondering what year it will be that she will be able to kiss Albert at New Years. She stands 3 years later counting down to midnight next t her husband who his hand on her stomach, because she is 2 months pregnant.
