The door opened. Chat ran up and held me close. "My lady...goodbye." I started to cry as a powerful forced pounded me against a wall.
I woke up in City Hall with fires blazing around me. My transformation had wore off. Chat's had as well. Only it wasn't Chat..."ADRIEN?!" I ran up and held his head in my hand. I scooped up his body on my lap. "Adrien? My love?" I started to cry into his hair. I raised my head and screamed, "WHY HIM?! WHY NOT TAKE ME?! ARIDENNNN!" I screamed out in tears. Then the sirens wailed outside...and I faded along with him.

1 Year Later

"Marinette!" Tikki screeched. "What?" She landed on my hand. "New mission, let's go!" She tugged on my hand. "Not today Tikki..." She looked confused. "Why no-." She stopped to notice a tear roll down my face as I stroked Adrien's mask. "Cha-Adrien died a year ago in this day...I'm staying home." I rolled away from my desk and onto my bed. "But people are out there in pain and you need to save them!" Tikki yelled as she transformed me. "I'm in pain too. Yet no ones here to save me..." I got up and zipped my way through Paris looking for the akuma.

"Hello my lady." I imagined his voice as I stared off at the villain. "Well here we go."

I landed in front of him. "Why hello Ladybug. Where's your little kitten these days. Oh right...HE'S DEAD!" The mysterious man cackled and fired at me. I dodged each bullet and tied him up quickly.

"DON'T YOU DARE SPEAK OF CHAT THAT WAY! I WILL TEAR YOU TO BITS YOU JERK!"

I zipped from side to side trying to get a trap ready for the villian. After the lucky charm had activated and mapped out the perfect capture I snatched up the akuma and set it free. "Bye little butterfly."

The mystery man transformed back into his original stage. "Ladybug?" I didn't look at him. I just walked away. But he grabbed my hand. "Ladybug!" I slowly turned around to see the Mayor. "Thank you for setting me free! And I apologize for speaking of Chat that way. May I invite you to my daughter's birthday as my apology?"

"No thank you Mr.Mayor. It's my grieving day. And apology accepted." I said as I flew around buildings toward home.
