Fast forward about 70 years and you'll know my life now. Some would say that I lived a full life. I had kids, I had the job of my dreams since before I could even legally work, I experienced love and heart break, and I've been married.
I on the other hand don't believe my life is as amazing as people make it out to be. I put up a façade for the sake of my children. They would have diagnosed be depressed but I pulled out of it on my 18th birthday. And all because of one reason.
Ana Luna Poppy
I know it's a funny name I laughed, my family laughed, everybody laughed but I guess that's what I fell in love with her first I guess. How her name was funny sounding she was a funny girl. She made me laugh and that was all I really wanted in my life was pure laughter and she gave it to me.
I wasn't happy because she had left me. She wasn't the one I wanted to marry and it hurt me so much when she left. I had been admitted into the hospital because I wasn't eating at all. I didn't feel like it and they diagnosed it as depression later on.
After that moment on I decided I would fake happiness. Even marrying someone I didn't love. I just tolerated her. I married her because even when I was nasty and mean to her because I didn't want to hurt her she stayed. That's how I knew I had to keep her because she loved me that much. No one had loved me that much since Ana and it felt nice.
She died two years ago. Her name was Lindsey. I don't remember her full name and it's pathetic because I've been married to her since I was 25. I'm 86 no so we've been married for 59 years.
I feel guilty about a lot of things but my biggest regret was loving another woman that was gone even after I was married.
No one deserves that in their lives.
Authors note: this is only like an into thing to kinda of get a background story. The flashbacks that will be noted will be italicised and when Ethan is talking normal or from his current age in the story which is 76 in this case it will be in a normal font.
