"Nellie, quick in here!" He said through the noise
He had just witnessed men in all black with gums come into his house and execute his parents, it happened so quickly, they said they would distract the men while he hid his younger sister. He was 19 and she only a year younger but he hid his baby sister in the pantry
He ran to the next room just as the men pulled their triggers
He watched his parents fall lifeless lot to the ground
"No!" He screamed running to them, a tear fell from his eye as he failed to catch them before they hit the ground
He stood up shakily and turned to them. Rage and hatred burning in his eyes
"I will do the same to your families In front of you one day.." He threatened through clenched teeth
"Look boy, we don't want you dead but we have two problems, hiding the evidence and finding your sister." One of the men in black said casually
"I will never allow either!" He yelled
"I think I know how to kill two birds with one stone." He turned to one of his men, "as we walk out throw a grenade into the kitchen, it'll burn the evidence in a house fire and most likely kill the girl in the pantry." He smiled over his shoulder at Anders and began walking toward the door
The man pulled out a grenade.
Anders ran into the kitchen to find the pantry open and his sister missing
"Nellie?.. NELLIE!?" He called out
With adrenaline pulsing through his veins he noticed the side door open and ran through it just in time to see two of the men forcing his sister into a car
The man saw Anders and qued his men to throw the grenade.
His house exploded behind him, throwing him to the ground
He looked up
"It was a distraction son, better luck next time. You'll need it if you want to find your sister." The man yelled to him as he smiled and got into the car
The car drove away, his ears ringing, eyes tearing, screaming pleas to them to bring her back
All felt hopeless
He was startled out of his flash back suddenly by a loud car driving on the street.
He was in an alley behind the house he had tracked them to.
It had taken 3 months and a lot of pain but he finally found her.
He had surveilled the schedule and security for the last week and determined that there must be a basement she was kept in because the family who pretended to live a normal life with added security detail lived pretending there was nothing out of the ordinary. And he never saw her.
It was his house. The one who shot his parents.. His family. He not only spent the last week figuring out how to rescue Nellie but also dreaming up a way of revenge. However every time it came to the moment he killed the man he froze.
He wouldn't in action though. He couldn't
He watched the assumed wife and daughter leave with the security. The man was the only one inside. The time had come.
He keeps up to the back window, taped with duck tape a square large Enough to fit through in the glass
He knew they had an extensive security system, if he tried opening the door a sensor would detect his finger prints were not right, if the machine detected broken glass, that also caused the alarm to sound, however, if you tape around where you break, the glass won't shatter outside the taped area, so the alarm shouldn't sound.
He finished and pulled a hammer out of his back pack. He smashed the square of glass, put the hammer back in his pack and climbed through the window
He snuck through the house
He walked through the back room doorway to see the man standing in front of the door to the basement, holding a glass of whiskey, arms crossed, a smile perched on his face.
"Welcome son, I've been expecting you." He said casually looking at Anders
