"Willow," my mom shouted from downstairs, "hurry up we're going to be leaving soon!"

"Coming!" I shouted back and ran to the stairs. Tonight was my moms 43rd birthday and my dad was taking her out to a nice dinner without me and my brother, Trevor.

When I reached the bottom of the stairs I saw that they both had their coats on and were saying goodnight to Trevor.

"Okay we should be back around 12. Don't wait up. And Willow, listen to your brother. He is the oldest and the one in charge. I don't want any fighting. Okay?"

"Okay" I said.

"Yea sure. Leave, go have fun." Trevor said shooing them out of the house.

"Okay okay bye love you." Mom rushed to say before the door closed.

As soon as the door shut Trevor went upstairs. I went into the kitchen to make something to eat. As I was looking through the cupboards Trevor walked back downstairs with his shoes and jacket on.

"Where you think your going?" I questioned.

"Out." Was all he said.

"Oh okay. What time will you be back?"

"Before mom and dad, don't worry probably around 11:30."

"Okay." I said as he walked out of the room to look out the window. A few minutes later there was a car horn.

"Okay bye." He shouted as he walked out into the cold.

I sighed and went back to looking for something to eat. I finally just settled for a bowl of fruit loops.

After I was done I set the empty bowl in the sink full of dishes. And went into the living room. Our living room was nothing special it had a T.V., a couch, two chairs, and a bookshelf. But by far it was one of my most favorite rooms. It was comfy and was a perfect place to settle down to read.

I sat on the couch and pulled the blanket, that was thrown over the side, over me and snuggled in. I switched on the television and started watching re-runs of Friends.

I started to feel my eyes closing. And slowly was swept off into a deep sleep.

I awoke to a pounding on the door. I hurriedly went and opened it. There stood two police men.

"Um yes?" I asked. A little nervous.

"Are your parents home?" Asked the police man with brown hair.

"Um no they went out for the night."

"Are you Willow Fox? Sister of Trevor Fox?"

"Um yes?"

"Can you please come with us?"

"Why? What happened?"

"Your brother was in a car accident. He is in the hospital now."

"Is he okay?" I asked already putting on my coat and shoes.

"We don't know."

I stepped out into the cold night air and hurried into the police car. It felt like ages until we reached the hospital. I ran out and hurried to the main desk.

"What room is Trevor Fox in?"

"I'm sorry sweetie he's in surgery now. You can have a seat right over there." She finished pointing over to the seating area. I walked over and sat down on the squishy chairs. Taking out my phone I called my mom.

"Mom?" I said sniffling.

"Honey whats wrong?"She asked worry laced in her voice.

"Trevor is in the hospital. He was in a car accident. He's in surgery." At the last part I broke down and started to cry.

"Oh no we're on our way now. Hang tight honey. I love you." And with that she hung up.

I put my head in my hands and cried more. After awhile a doctor came up to me.

"Are you Trevor Fox's relative?"

"Yes." I said wiping my eyes and standing up.

"I'm sorry. The damage was too great. He didn't make it."

I couldn't see straight. I don't even remember sitting back down.
