"He could be watching us," Will spoke, referring to The Great Red Dragon. The past few months had been spent looking for him; it was only by chance Will had figured it out. If he hadn't found the home videos in the Leeds' home, Francis Dollarhyde would still be murdering innocent families.

In the silence that followed Wills words, he studied Hannibal. His hair, was as ever, impeccable. Hannibal downed a white dress shirt and a pair of black suit pants. The light from above him greatly accentuated his cheekbones, casting deep shadows over his face. His eyes pierced Will, and he became certain Hannibal knew what he was thinking. Whatever was to happen now, would change the course of their lives. Will just hoped Hannibal played a role in his.

"I know," Hannibal replied. His voice sounded...sad, almost. This scared Will; he had never known Hannibal to show any type of emotions before. Though, when the air was still and they were alone, Will was sure Hannibal might feel more than he let on.

As soon as the words left Hannibal's mouth, a bullet crashed through the glass, finding its mark in his abdomen. In shock, Hannibal dropped the bottle of wine he held onto the floor, the shattering of glass bringing Will back to the present.

Hannibal had been shot.

He looked up at Will with a confused expression. They both knew what this meant. The Dragon was here, and rearing to kill the men that had discovered his identity.

They only had two choices: kill, or be killed.

Staring at each other for what felt like an eternity, both Hannibal and Will felt a blissful calm set in. As though words had passed between them, they both moved in unison to the door leading outside, where they would face off against The Dragon.
