It had been about a week since I had seen Lee at the bakery. I hadn't heard from him and I didn't really want to. I felt absolutely terrible about what happened.
You can say a lot of things about Jackson, but disloyal isn't one of them. Since we first got into a relationship about 9 years ago I had never caught him doing anything that could be considered questionable in that department.
Then there's me... going on dates with some young, valet guy who's not even done with school yet.
Was it a date? It didn't matter. Jackson wouldn't be happy whether I called it a date or not. He really wouldn't be happy if he had seen what Lee did in the bakery.
I had to get control of the situation. I'm a grown man who's married to a great guy... most of the time at least. Lee wasn't- could never be an option.
...
I was snapped out of my thoughts when the guy next to me at the bar started talking to me.
"Could I buy you a drink?"
Jackson had forced me to go out tonight so he could try out a new club Gavin told him about. Stupid Gavin. He was such a bad influence.
Currently Jackson was out on the dance floor, I had refused to go with him. He knew I hated places like this. Mostly because I had to deal with people like this guy.
I sighed.
"No," I told the guy without making eye contact. "Thanks anyway." I spied on him out of the corner of my eye. He looked to be in his early twenties, rather tall, but he was kind of lanky. He gave off a bit of the geek vibe with his glasses and all.
"Are you sure? Just one drink, let me do that for you." He stepped closer.
I took a deep breath and pursed my lips. I turned to face him head on. That's when I realized what a creep this guy seemed to be. Before I thought he looked only slightly geeky, now I saw that he looked as though this was the first time out of his mother's basement from playing video games in over six months.
Not that I have a problem with playing video games, but judging from how this guy looked I would bet he didn't even know what a mirror was.
"Look man, my husband is out on the dance floor. No need to buy me a drink, that's what I have him for."
He laughed. "Why don't you just calm down. Your hubby doesn't have to know a thing," he said, snaking an arm around my waist.
Hearing him say that only amplified the guilty feeling I had already been dealing with. I quickly stepped away from this weirdo and the bar.
"What is your problem? Are you having trouble understanding English? I said fucking no!"
Now this had gotten the attention of a few other people around the bar. All of them could see this guy was being a problem and a few of them made their way over. I didn't feel like explaining anything to them so I walked away. Weirdo can handle them himself.
I was shaking from anger and uncomfortableness. A situation like that was enough to push me over the edge. I wanted nothing more than to go home and climb in bed with a cup of hot tea. Now I just had to find Jackson.
Being as tall as he is it wasn't hard to spot him and I made my way over through the crowd.
I stood on my tip toes to get closer to his ear.
"It's time to go!" I yelled over the music.
He gave me a confused look," we just got here!"
I tried to argue, but before I could do anything Jackson grabbed my hips and started forcing me to move with the music. He smirked down at me as I gave him a scowl.
