I knew I wouldn't get away with this so easily.

But I am lucky.

When we arrived to the university, we went straight to a long reception desk. There was a stern looking man behind the desk who looked at both of us, back and forth until it became quite awkward; I cleared my throat and spoke, 

"Where abouts are we meant to go for the languages convention?"

He looked at me above the tops of his glasses which reminded me of an old librarian. 

"The convention started just over an hour ago." He stated the obvious. I could tell that he wasn't too sure about Ash and myself.

"We know, we got umm..." 

                Right now is time to think of a good excuse. We went to the toilets and got lost? No, we both have our bags with us. Not good enough.

"We, umm..." 

"

We got separated from our school during our travels here. Our school is informed that we are safe and that we were fixing the problem on our own. And well... here we are. Now, if you do not mind, we have a convention to take part in, and we are late enough as it is already. Where abouts is the main convention?"  Ash spoke before I had a chance to ask the man myself. And she had practically told him the truth; we did get separated from our school on our travels. We just decided that we would extend the time we were "lost" for. And our school was aware that we were making our own way there but not exactly from us.

But the thing that shocked me the most, was the confidence that Ash spoke with. Just a few hours ago, she was crying in my arms, a girl who seemed to have lost all self-esteem, who had no one else to speak to but me, who had only confided herself in me alone. And now she was speaking with more confidence than myself. 

The girl who I may just be falling in love with.

After Mr Receptionist/Librarian had pointed us to the main hall where everyone else should be, we started our walk to the other side of the Imperial College campus. Having been in an American High School, I was used to being in a large surrounding environment, however this was almost twice the size of my old high school. And that was the largest in its state. 

After walking for what seemed like a marathon, we reached the main hall where we meant to have met a few hours ago. We reached the final set of doors which led into a large lecture hall. Ash had walked fast all the way here, with me shortly following her behind. When we both got to the doors, Ash was leaning up against the wall drinking from the bottle of sparkling water which I had brought  her earlier in the park. 

"Leave a drop for me. Miss Power Walk" I said to her as I caught my breath seeming as I had to pretty much jog to keep up with her. 

She looked at me, with that sparkle in her eyes which I had seen many times today.

"Oh, you want some of this, do  you? This lovely refreshing water which I am drinking?" She teased me with the bottle, waving it in her hand. There was only a mouthful left in it.

Which I was looking forward, until she tilted her head back and gulped down the last of the water. 

She wiped her mouth with her hand and let out a long sigh.

"Right, you asked for it!" I said as I lunged forward and grabbed her waist, beginning to tickle her. Seeing her laugh just made me feel better, "Bet you wish you didn't drink all of that water now, don't you?"

She kept on laughing as I continued to tickle her but she managed to wriggle free and pushed open the door which stood in front of her. Not quite realising what door this was, I walked through it and grabbed her by the waist again, "Don't think you can get away this easil..."

I soon shut up, as I turned to see that we had just walked into the lecture hall, where there were many school students, and teachers, sitting listening to someone at the front of the hall. And where everyone had all of their eyes on the two noisy students who had walked in very late. On us. Which was how I came to be face to face with Miss Kerlin having a conversation about my behaviour and how I could be expelled for my "outrageous actions"

Hello! Just another short update.

Haven't had much of a chance to write anything lately as my phone is being messed up and my laptop is soooooo slllloooowwwwww.

Anyway, how is everyone? Good? Enjoying this glorious weather (if you are having any? I know for a fact that I am loving this English Heatwave!) Keep up with the voting and reading of this.
