"Hey, Paige can I borrow that dress please?" I asked Paige nicely as I was at her place and because I know she will be really freaking mad that I was impolite.

"This black one?" She asked, motioning towards the closet, waving her hands in front of the dresses. We were getting ready for a party, a New Year party with people from school and friends of people who attend West Bridge High School. Most of the school was going including the popular groups of people.

I nodded and she handed me the black dress. It was short, coming just under my butt, it was transparent at the top showing cleavage and had a sweetheart neckline, the dress was also covered with beautiful diamonds. Finding shoes to match wasn't hard because Paige had shoes for every outfit in her closet, I found the black 5 inch heels also with diamonds on it. The accessories I chose to go with it were my black Chanel clutch bag, stud earrings in silver and half of the best friend necklace me and Paige both had.

We stayed in the room to put the dresses on, I stepped into the one I chose to wear and pulled it up, pushing both arms out either side. I looked in the mirror and turned slightly so I could see the back, facing the front I straighted it out and sorted the shoulder straps out. Paige lifted her dress above her head and pulled it down, she was wearing a black dress too but this one had long sleeves, it had no diamonds or anything on it and it came just above her knees. Paige looked over at me, smiled and nodded in appreciation, I smiled back at her and nodded at what she was wearing.

"George is on his way down, he's been driving since 10:30 this morning. He'll be here in about-" she was cut off by the sound of her phone ringing, she looked at her phone and smiled up at me "its George"

George is Paige's boyfriend, he lives in New York and comes down to see her every weekend and spends the holidays with her. He was coming down today to spend time with Paige and I, he's like a big brother to me because of how close me and Paige are so that's good to have a close bond. Paige was a year older than me and George was two years older than me, George had dropped out of school a year ago to become a physical therapist, mainly in hockey, basketball and football.

Paige was painting her nails a nice black colour to go with the dress so she told me to answer the phone, I reached over her and grabbed her phone "Hey bro, what's up?" I opened the conversation like a sister would do.

"Hey sis, just calling to say I'm ten minutes away, I'll be there soon. A'ight, see ya lil sis" cheerfully as always he told me he won't be long and I passed the message onto Paige who just continued to paint her nails and smile.

"Hey, Paige? After the party could i stay here, i don't want my mom knowing I'm going to be drinking tonight" she told me i could so i felt relieved.

Whilst getting ready I put some music on, "Hey put Justin on. His acoustic album for 'Believe' thank you" we both like Justin Bieber, his music is so meaningful and just makes you want to get up and jam. We both smiled at one another as I put the album on.

"What's your favourite song from this album, P?" I said signalling her to tell me but she was sat there jamming out to 'Boyfriend'.

"Oh 'Beauty and a beat' 'Take you' and 'Yellow raincoat' what about you, M?" finally she heard me and answered and asked me the same question.

"Mine are 'Be alright' 'Fall' and 'Nothing like us' they just get me thinking and then they just somehow mean something to me" I said smiling.

We both started singing to 'Fall' we took it in turns, a verse at a time and the chorus together. Paige and I liked to make some freaking weird videos and post them on social media, but this time we decided to make a video of us singing, we were both in our dresses and had little make-up on but we didn't care we looked okay. Whilst singing we took all the emotion we felt and put it into the song, hitting the long and high notes and just making effort.
