They only let us keep a few things. At least that's what we can remember. They let us keep our name, and a little bit of memory. I wish I knew who "they" were. I wish I remember where they had told me where I was going. I wish I could remember why me, and 3 of my best friends said "yes" to going. The only thing I remember, are these things that they told us, but not why they were telling us.
We woke up in a box. There were a bunch of supplies and needs. There were also my 3 best friends. I remembered their names, along with mine. Stella, had medium length brown hair, with light chocolate eyes. She was actually stunning. Then there was my friend, McKenna. She had long, brown hair with bright blue eyes. Then there was Allison. She had short, boyish hair that was brown in color. She was very tough, and hard headed. Then there was me, Jocelyn. I had medium length dark brown hair, with dark brown eyes. There was nothing really special about me. The only thing was, that I was taller than a lot of women my age.
There were countless minutes waiting to end up somewhere. No matter how hard we tried to remember where we were going, we just couldn't. Finally, the box stopped. The top opened, and a bright sunlight shone through. All four of us looked up, squinting. There were many boys, all looking down at us with confused faces. A large man jumped down into the box. We all stood up alarmed, ready to defend ourselves if needed. He put his hand up in surrender. "Welcome. The names Gally." He said. He just looked at me. "Welcome?" I questioned. "I'll show you." He gestured to the top of the box, where we all climbed out. There were many many boys. They couldn't stop staring. "Four girls?" A boy with blonde hair said. "This is the glade. And you four, are our new greenies." Gally smirked. Greenies? I asked myself. "Everyone get back to work!" Gally shouted. A dark skinned male walked up to us and Gally. He smiled gently. "This is Alby, he will tell you more." Gally said, and walked away. Stella nudged my arm and rose her eyebrows up and down. I just rolled my eyes. Stella had always been boy-crazy and fell in love to easily. That was another thing I could remember.
"Hello. Alby's the name." He was very broad shouldered, and looked quite serious. "Welcome to the glade." He finished. Why is everyone saying welcome? What was the glade? "I know you might be sacred. I was too. But I will be here to help." He half smiled. "You four are our first girls." I looked around. Great, I thought to my self. All boys. "This is where you will eat, sleep, work, and get to know everyone, the glade, and that." He pointed to a large stone area. "That's the maze. You never go in there. Only runners do, which you guys are not runners." He said firmly. "What's the maze?" Allison asked. "We don't really know. The runners know more." He replied. "Who and what are the runners?" Allison asked again. "There names are Minho and Ben. They go and try to figure a way out of here." He replied, looking Allison dead in the eye. "Who put us here." I asked angrily. He laughed. "I don't know. No one knows, nor can remember." He said. I grunted. I was hoping for a better answer. "You guys may or may not remember things. But it's okay. Do you guys at least remember your names?" He asked. "Yes, I do. Stella, McKenna, Allison, and I'm Jocelyn." I said, pointing to each person." He smiled. "Well, Stella, McKenna, Allison, and Jocelyn, welcome to the glade."
