Vincent's P.O.V.

I woke up, to a grey sky. No sunlight was peeking out. It looked like we were about to have a storm, but I could tell we won't. I've been here long enough to know the difference of a storm, and an empty threat of a storm. I looked around my room. Nothing different. Skitter in his usual spot at the foot of my bed. Cloths on the floor. No one other than me and Skitter in the room. Nothing new. But why did I feel that something was different? I just couldn't put my finger on it.

I got dressed, and walked out of my house. Even though Scott gave me today off, because I had the nightshift, followed by the day shift, for 2 days, followed by yet another day shift, and me worrying about Scott, and than another night shift and day shift. Just a normal week in my life.

It was about 9:30 when I got there, but I knew I was gonna do some work today. If I didn't, then who would be here in case if the whore calls? Who'll be here to protect Scott if the bitch walks in? I count it as my job to protect Scott. He's the only person I trust. I can count on him.

The sent of pizza was filling the air like normal. The kids were screaming, yelling, kicking. Doing anything they can to cause trouble. I looked and I saw that Jeremy was back. He was over talking to Fritz and Mike. Maybe about the uproar in the kids behavior. Scott was over by the stage. Almost contently pulling kids off the stage.

I went over. Undetected by Mike, Fritz, and even Jeremy. Scott only realized I was here when I went over to a kid that was trying to climb up on the stage. "Hey. It's not nice to go on the stage. Freddy, Chica, and Bonnie need there space. No one likes it when other people go into their bubble space." The kid thought for half a moment. Then ran off.

"I ever knew that you were able to do that." Scott's voice was surprised.

"I may have had my......... Past, but I know how to work with kids. It helps when you know a different......... Side of them." Scott seemed a little confused. But he should. There was noway I was telling anyone now. Not when I got my job back, not when I just got off parole, not when Scott just started to trust me. Not now, and not ever.

"Ok." Scott seemed like he was wondering what I was talking about. He then seemed to come out of his curious state. "So, what brings you here. I thought I gave you the day off so you could get some sleep."

I laughed at this. "I did. But, I also need to come here. I also need to work."

Scott didn't smile. Instead he sighed. "What do you want?"

I was offended that he thought I was here for something. He wasn't wrong. But still. I put my hand over my heart in mock offense. "Me? I would never."

This got Scott to laugh. I punched the air triumphantly. "Victory!"

Scott shook his head. Not as though he was mad. But more like, he was trying to refrain from laughing louder than he already was, and that was dying down. "You're such a dork." His words were simple. But not mean. He said it the way you would playfully tease a friend.

I bowed. "Why thank you good sir!" This got him laughing harder than before.

His face went suddenly straight. He stopped laughing altogether. "Ok. Now will you tell me why you're here?"

"Is it a crime to want to come to work?" My voice was serious now. Or at least as serious it can get.

"No. But why would you rather come to work, than have a day off?" He seemed skeptical. Like he was expecting me to ask for a pay raise or something.
