"What?" I asked Mother Francis.
Mother Francis starts to repeat herself but I cut her off. "You can't switch my schools!"
"Jess, give me three good reasons why I shouldn't."
"Why don't you give me three good reasons you're switching me from my school?" My precious precious school.
But as soon as I said that,I regretted immediately.
"Don't you sass me young lady" she says so strictly. "You're being switched out of your school For mostly two reasons" she was starting to yell, I was afraid the kids in the dining room could hear her.
"One!"she said loudly
"Your coming home too late" she said in a lower tone.
"I told you I went to Paola's house after school to study" I lied, I actually went to my dance class.
The reason I had lied, was if she knew I danced her she would revoke everything--kinda like being grounded, but living in this orphanage, it's like you're a prisoner.
"Hello, are you there?" Trying to snap me out of cloud nine.
"Huh?"
"Everyday day studying?"
"Yeah, why not?" I asked. You see, I had ALOT of practice when it comes to lying.
"Two!" She said loudly again.
"Your not doing ANY of your responsibilities"
"Mother Francis, I can change my schedule"
"Like I hadn't heard that before Jessandra"she said
Yeah my full first name is Jessandra BIG DEAL.
"No, no, no, please." I pleaded almost on my knees.
"Jess!" She said loud as she started to stand up from her chair from her desk, "You Came home at 6:30, you're suppose to bathe and brush your teeth by 5:45"
"Do I look like I'm ten to you?" I asked In a louder tone."I'm 17!". She gave me that look she gives to people when they disrespect her.
Uncrossing her arms she picked up the phone and said into the mic "Sister Maggie, would you please guide Miss Rosado to her Room I'm sure her 'roomies' are missing her."
