Brooke
The following week was a blur. I saw Matthew in school a few times, but we never made any contact besides over text. A part of me felt as if he was embarrassed to physically speak to me, besides out of school. I didn't necessarily care however, it's not like we were anything other than friends. "Hey Brooke, can I borrow you Social Studies notes? I lost mine." Tyler came up to me asking. "Tyler please explain to me how the hell you lost your notes when we just had Mrs. Crosby last period." I said, rolling my eyes. "To be completely honest, I have no idea Brooke." He chuckled. "Stop calling me Brooke, we're not friends. It's Brooklyn." I snapped. Tyler walked away. I'll never come to understand how one of my best friends is dating such a child. I walked to my locker, shoving binders, paper, and my gym clothes into my book bag. My locker door was shut, but not by me. By Matthew. "Oh... Hey Matthew, what's up?" I said staring at my dirty shoelaces. "Well I wanted to see your face, I feel like I'm in more need of vitamin B." He smiled. I giggled, "Ah pulling jokes now are we?" Matthew shook his head, with a slight smile still on his face. "Well I didn't come over here to flirt with you, I came over here to ask if you'd like to go out to Chinese again. I mean it doesn't have to be Chinese, it's up to you." He said sliding his fingers through his dirty blonde hair. I hated when guys did that. Not the bad hate the, you're really hot and when you do that I wanna yell out, "screw me" hate. "Hm well, I'll have to make sure my parents are-" I stopped talking because Matthew had risen an eyebrow. "What the hell, why not!" I smiled and he smiled back. "Great so I'll pick you up at 7?" He asked. I nodded and headed out to my car. I was excited, the last time I had gone on a "date" date was with my ex Aaron. We ended kind of roughly. I wasn't happy, he was madly in love with me. Aaron became a little abusive and the cops were called. That was the last time I saw him. I sometimes wish he would learn and try again. I would give him another chance. I know, Brooke you sound like an idiot, but I was in love too. He was my first love, I'll never be able to get over him. I don't think anyone could truly get over their first love, I consider it impossible. Hopefully Matt may just change that for me, I don't have my hopes up though. Once I arrived back home, I did geometry homework and then took a shower. A few days back I finally got my butt up and went to lush cosmetics, all the girls at my school think it's super cool because of the bathbombs but I really dig the body butter. When I finished I let my hair air dry while I did some simple but cute makeup, filling in my eyebrows, eyeshadow, and some other face makeup. I blow dried my hair and did some loose curls with my curling wand, and then got dressed. Considering the fact that I had only known we were grabbing some food I threw on some light washed skinnys from Hollister, some random blue shirt from Forever21, and my heeled lowcut boots. I sat around the house till around 7:10 when Matt finally arrived. The door made three soft thumps on the front door. I opened it to see Matt in a very nice outfit, nicer than mine to be completely honest. "Oh am I early?" Matt asked looking a bit confused. "Oh no I'm just running a tad bit late one second while I change." I smiled. I motioned my hand indicating for him to follow. "Talk to me while I change!" I said while walking into my room, leaving him in the middle of the hallway. "Was planning on it haha." He chuckled. I heard a door open and I quickly peeped out my bedroom door.
"Mother! Hello, what are you doing home?" I asked surprised.
"Well I tried calling you thirty minutes ago, but I got no response." She said looking at Matthew.
"Oh right, hello Mrs. Smith, I'm Matthew Espinosa. It's a pleasure to meet you finally." He introduced himself. My mother took his hand and softly shook it.
"Well I haven't heard about you before, but I actually know you're mother, Laura. We used to work together." She said.
I walked away from those too and finished getting ready.Matthew
Brooke's mother and I spoke while waiting for Brooke to finish getting ready. I ended up downstairs sitting on the couch when I hear loud clicks against the hardwood stairs. I looked up and saw Brooke standing in a beautiful garnet dress, or top and skirt. Go be honest I actually have no idea. I stood up and smiled at her.
"You look outstanding." I said wrapping my arm around her shoulder.
"Well thank you Matt." She said placing her other arm on my waist.
I couldn't believe how stunning she looked words couldn't describe, she's such a beautiful person I can't stand it.
"Alright you two, I want you home by 1:30 Brooklyn Marie!" Mrs. Smith said taking off her heels.
"Yes mother!" Brooke giggled pulling my arm.We climbed into my car and began driving.
"Where are we really going Matt?"
"You'll see."
