*^this is what Samantha looks like^*
I sigh in content as I stood in front of the door to my new flat; my new life. I pushed in the key and opened the door slightly; peering inside through the small gap I created then finally opened the door fully and gazed up at the small staircase in front of me. I grumbled and went up the stairs, looking at a door half way up but kept going. I'll find out what that is later later.

I reached a hallway with a few doors in it and decided to go through the first left one. It was a large room with a small electric fireplace.

Living room. I decided. Cozy.

I stood in the largish empty room for a few minutes, still taking in my new surroundings and dumped my travel bag onto the floor. My things won't be here until 8:30pm or tomorrow so I have plenty of time to explore and figure out what goes where and which room is which. I looked at my watch: 3:45pm. Still have ages. I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair. I began my little adventure.

I walked through all the doors and little spaces I could find; figuring out which is my room, living room, study, spare bedroom, etc. and suddenly became a little bored with nothing to do. 4:10pm. I groaned in frustration. What else can I do? I can't go exploring in a city I've never been in; I'll get lost as soon as I step outside this building! Maybe I could greet some of my neighbors? That could lighten the mood for me, and possibly them so it's not awkward if we run into each other, and maybe I could make some friends? I don't know, maybe, just one neighbor. I don't want to seem like an annoying new girl. One neighbor, done.

I grabbed my keys off the kitchen counter and headed down the stairs to the front door, locking it before making my way down the hall where everyone lived.

Which door? I hummed to myself thinking of my options; slowly walking down the corridor. Maybe the next door over? The one across the hallway? I groaned. This was a stupid idea; I can't even pick which door I'll knock on. I turned around to go back to my apartment when I stopped. They all look the same. Which one is mine? I frantically look around at all the doors seeing if I can recognize my door. No such luck.

Deciding quickly, I closed my eyes and spun around on the spot a few times then stopped. I opened my eyes and saw the door I was pointing at. If this isn't my apartment I can always ask the owner to help me out. I sighed and quickly walked up to the door before knocking three times. I heard some shuffling then someone bounding down their stairs or hallway before the door opened rather quickly.

"Oh, hello. I was expecting it to be the pizza man." The guy scratched the back of his neck; slightly embarrassed.

"Pizza at-" I checked the time. "4:25pm?" I laughed a little. He laughed along too.

"I guess so. My roommate and I didn't have a lot of food to cook something with so we decided on pizza. He's probably wondering what's taking so long since we both thought you were the pizza delivery.
So what can I do for you?" He smiled warmly at me.

"Oh, right, uhm I originally wanted to introduce myself to some neighbors since I just moved in so I left my apartment but I couldn't decide which door to knock on so I gave up but when I turned around to go back, I realized that I was a little lost and didn't know which door led to my apartment. I did my little 'decide which' thing that I do and here I am; outside your apartment door." I laughed nervously and shuffled my feet.

He laughed a little too and leaned against the door frame. "Don't worry, everyone was there at one point or another; my roommate and I were." He thought for a second before brightening up a little. "Would you like to come in and join us for dinner? Then afterwards we can help you find your apartment again." I thought for a second and decided quickly.

"I'd love to." I smiled brightly as he opened the door wider for me. "I'm Samantha by the way. Samantha Jones." I added then held out my hand. He ignored my attempt for a handshake and hugged me.

"I'm Phil. Phil Lester." I hugged him back awkwardly then walked up the stairs to the lounge room together (Phil said we were going there) where we came across another person sitting, well, practicality laying strangely. Surely that can't be good for his back, right? Like I can talk. The other guy, whom I'm presuming is Phil's roommate, looked up from his laptop about to say something but closed his mouth and looked confused.

"Please don't tell me you invited a fan into our apartment. Phil, we can't just do that you know." Now I'm the confused one.

"Fan?" I looked up at Phil to get some information but he just shrugged.

"Dan, this is Samantha. Samantha, this is Dan; my roommate. Sam- wait, is it alright if I call you Sam?" Phil asked politely. I nodded and smiled. Phil turned back to Dan. "Sam is gonna be joining us for dinner. She's our new neighbor but got a little lost finding her apartment, so after dinner we're gonna help her find it again."

I blushed slightly in embarrassment. I looked down at my feet and played with the hem of my shirt. Jesus I'm a loser. I looked through my bangs to see that Dan was now sitting up straight and putting his laptop onto the sofa. "Phil, can I talk to you for a minute, in the kitchen?" Phil nodded slowly as Dan stood. Jesus he's tall, well, they both are tall; giants to me even.

"Feel free to sit down anywhere, except Dan's sofa crease. Don't sit there unless you want to die. From Dan. That is. I won't kill you." Phil laughed then walked out with Dan. I sat down at the end of the sofa near the fireplace.

I wonder what they're talking about?
