Greed clung to the sounds of the others' voices, the feel of the fabric he had in his hands and the scents surrounding him. Kill them, kill them all, they're threatening you, you'll be killed. "Ling... make them stop... make the voices stop. Please." He whimpered, the blast of the grenade jogging his memory to the point of remembering Ling. "Lan Fan, stop! I swear if you aim anything at him again I'll just hit it right fucking back at you!" Ling snapped and the homunculus heard footsteps. "Please, brother, don't!" The blonde exclaimed and Greed whimpered, throwing up the shadows around Ling and himself.
"Greed, it's okay. Lower the shadows, you'll be fine." Slowly the homunculus let the shadows retreat. "Look, we don't have time for this!" Ling snapped and Greed uncertainly opened his eyes. Everything was blurry and nothing, not even Ling, was more than blobs of multiple colors. "He's obviously got something wrong with him! What voices is he talking about?!" Kill...kill...kill...KILL...KILL! "Stop. I won't. I won't. I'm not killing them." He muttered softly before jumping as a gentle hand began stroking his hair. "What's wrong, Greed?" His friend asked gently before he passed out.
.~.
"How can you trust him?! God knows what's wrong with him! No one was telling him to kill us!" Ed nealy shouted as the homunculus passed out and Ling growled. "Shove off, Ed!" The soon-to-be emperor snapped before looking at Al. "Could you please talk since sense into your brother?!" Al walked up to Ed. "Brother, Greed died and who knows what he does or doesn't remember? The important thing is that he's alive and needs our help." The younger Elric said and the older growled a little. "He tries to hurt anyone I'll put a bullet between his eyes." Ed grumbled before whipping around as the sound of a door being busted down filled the factory.Greed shot up quickly and instantly shadows shot out, avoiding the others but not the forms running in. "Stay away from me!" The homunculus screamed as the shadows tore nasty wounds into the people. "It's your fault! Stay away! Die! Die! DIE! DIE!" Ling quickly wrapped his arms around Greed again, shushing him. "How nice of you, brother, to attempt to kill us." A cold voice said as a dark haired woman walked closer to them while Greed continued to attack her. "All of you, sleep." She snapped and Greed screeched as Ling collapsed.
"Ling," he cried, shaking his friend desperately. "Ling, wake up, I don't know where she is! I need you to tell me! Ling!"
"You're pathetic, Greed." The woman sighed as she touched Greed's head. Instantly everything faded to black and he gave one last strangled cry of Ling's name.
.~. .~.
Slowly the world began to spiral back and as soon as he could, Ling shot up into a sitting position. "Greed?" He looked around a little before standing. "GREED?!" He shouted ignoring the others as they began groaning. "Al," he cried. "Greed's gone!" The Soul Alchemist shot to his feet at that. "GREED, WHERE ARE YOU?!"The soon-to-be emperor slumped to his knees, Greed couldn't be gone again, right? Then he got that feeling. The sickening feeling he only got when multiple homunculi were in one place at the same time. Standing, he ran out of the room, following the slowly fading flow path of chi. "Young lord?!" Lan Fan called quickly following with the others following her.
The soon-to-be emperor ignored her and continued running, the feeling was getting stronger. Soon he saw them, a group of homunculi with one carrying a limp Greed over his shoulder. Anger grew in his chest and he felt Lan Fan at his side, she gave him a kunai and they attacked the two homunculi at the back. After killing them they went for the next two before they joined up to snatch Greed from the largest one then kill him. The soon-to-be emperor carefully balanced Greed on his shoulders before running back the way they came.
