My Love

          I lifted my head from my pillow. Why would I be dreaming of that of all times? I lifted my hand to my face. Tears were streaming down my cheeks. I forced myself too stop crying. It has been two years since Aleks fell into a coma. For months I found myself in a hole. Not able to pick myself up. Till one day I stopped going to the hospital, I couldn't even drag myself there. That had been my only reason too get out of bed for awhile. Just to go visit him. As I laid in bed I found myself asking, 'Do I really love him?' After that I managed too get some what back on track. I went back to school (I had stopped after the accident) and talked too my friends again. I didn't know at the time, but I really worried them. I mean who wouldn't. I did get the awser too my question though.

       I still remember that day, then again it was only about a year and a half ago. Katie, Josh, Louis, and myself all decided too go camping. It was mid-summer so weather wasn't a issue. We packed up our bags and headed too a campsite about two hours from my house. The girls shared a tent while the boys shared another. We sat out next to a campfire roasting marshmallows. The heat felt like it was about too burn of my skin, but I didn't mind. We were all laughing so hard no one noticed.        "Lets play truth-or-dare!" Katie suddenly burst out. Louis started getting excited talking near a yell about how much funny that is going to be. All the while swinging his hands around like the stupid popular girls that go to my school, but Louis is much better than them. I looked over to Josh as I shrugged in agreement. He looked kind of worried even though he had no good reason. Katie tapped on her chin. "OK I'll start." She looked at the three of us back and forth. "Josh, Truth or dare?" My eyes turned back to Josh again. The worried face had been replaced with a frightened.   "O-Ok umm, truth." Katie's shoulders dropped as she hung her arms down.     "Buzz kill." She said than went back into her happy mood. "Fine then, hmm." She said while putting her finger back up too her chin. "Oh, I know!" She threw her finger up like she had just gotten a good idea. "Who do you have a crush on?" He froze up.      "Louis!" He screamed. I fell off the log I was sitting on. I couldn't stop laughing. I was on the brink on tears. That is how we continued the rest of the game. Soon it was ten, and we all crawled into our tents.

          I  lied in my sleeping bag up able too drift too sleep. I sat up slowly, I grabbed my phone shining the bright light causing me too squint. Twelve o'clock shown up on my screen. I slowly got up careful not to wake up Katie. I pushed my furred boots on my feet leaving my sweatpants creased on the edge of my boots. I walked out of the tent. I could see a dark shape sitting on the log. I slowly approached it till a familiar face came into view.    "Josh!" I whispered. He looked towards me. "What are you doing?" I asked him. Then again he could always ask me that. He stood up, and walked towards me. "Kat there is something I need too tell you." I found a puzzled look creep on too my face. Suddenly Josh puled me into a hug. Squeezing me too no end, my face was pressed into his shoulder, so I couldn't talk. My arms hung down by my side. "Kat I love you, I have loved you since I met you."

        After that me and Josh started dating. I've fallen in love with him. I don't think I ever loved Aleks, and if I did fell out of love. I know if you love someone then fallen in love with a different person, than you never really did love the first one. Why else would you have fallen for the second one?

      I shook my head vigorously. I don't have time too be lost in thought. I have too get read for school, then I can see Josh. Josh, I haven't seen him all weekend! I hopped out of my bed quickly getting ready. As soon as I was finished I started too walk out the door. I ran through the park next too my school, even though I was early. I had promised Josh I would meet him at the front door to the school. I almost made skid marks as I stopped at the front door. Josh was waiting for me when I got there. I jumped into his arms as soon as I saw him. "Whoa, slow down you only have me to worry about." He said teasingly.     "Whatever." I said lightly hitting his arm.     "Ouch, that hurt you know." He said still teasing me.     "Crap, our school is screwed this year" He looked at me confused.     "Why would they be screwed?" A smirk came onto my face. "They have you as lead quarterback!" I teased him back.    "Ha, ha, ha." He said in a sarcastic tone of voice. "Now lets go! We have studying too do!" He grabbed my arm and dragged me through the park.

     Josh and I were about ten minutes into studying when I saw a familiar car, Jason. What is Jason doing at my school. He has only been here once, and that was when he told me Aleks had been in a accident and was now in a coma.  My eyes followed him as he got out of the car and made his way over too me.      "Katherine, we need too go somewhere and talk." Josh signal that it was ok for me too leave. I slowly got up. What had happened? Did it involve Katie or any of The Creatures? I walked slowly too his car, and before I knew it we were in front of a IHOP.  We both sat in silence for a few minutes till our food arrived. "Katherine what I'm about too tell you may not be believable, but it is the truth." I looked up from my plate, starred at him right in the eyes.     "What happened, and make it quick." He nodded.       "Aleks woke up."

      The fork I had been holding suddenly fell out of my hand. Everything went blurry like I was in a daze. Jason continued, "He wants too see you." I nodded with out realizing it.      "I'll go see him." I said as I lied my head in my hands. I-I how am I going to explain that I don't love him, and I have a boyfriend that I love. I read somewhere that people who have been in comas for more than a year, when you tell them all the changes that happened they can go into shock. Maybe even another coma. How am I going to deal with that if when I tell him the truth that happens? A cold sweat sat on my brow as I thought about this. How will he handle it? I will be breaking his heart! I am a terrible person! N-no calm down you love Josh! You have too tell Aleks, because Josh is the love of your life!
