JOSE RACADIO VILLABAR is like an old man in a young body. Despite, his youth, he is now the sole breadwinner for his family. Upon his mother's death, his father became a drunkard and went frequently to alehouse. He was left with no choice but to work hard to support his daily needs.

Jose is working as a carpenter in a construction site. A people's market will be built there. At the side of the building is an old water pump. It seems like a mystery to him. He always stares at it like someone is calling him, nudging him to come near it.

One night, his foreman called him.

"Hey! Ricadio, you should start digging that water pump right away. The guard house for the parking area will be built there."

Jose is stunned. He doesn't know what to say; whether to do it or not. "Y-yes, sir. I'll do it right away. I'll just look for Paquito to help me."

HE BECAME nervous. Not because he is scared of spirits, ghost and stuff but he just does not want to see one that night.

"Paquito, boss said let's dig that water pump up. It's a nuisance." He said pointing to the water pump.

Paquito is his childhood friend. He owe him a lot since Paquito did not left him through thick and thin.

"You go ahead, I'll go there later." Paquito replied.

Jose took a deep breath before leaving his friend. When he arrived there, he just stared at the water pump.
