When I flutter my heavy eyes open I am back in my safe place.

The stream of clean air coats my nostrils and cleanses deep into my lungs.  The crisp breeze whips fine strands of my hair across my cold face that tickle softly against my icy cheeks.  My eyes are drawn skywards to the never-ending expanse of azure.  Suspended white puffy cumulus clouds glide majestically for as far as the eye can see.  They reflect on the top of the calm water of Loch Ness, a mirrored image of the sky on the ground.  The water in the Loch rests still, the only movements are the sun's rays that shimmer in a dance across the surface before diving beneath the depths below.

The blanket hugging around my shoulders envelopes me with warmth against the early morning chill.  I run my fingers through the long grass that surrounds me, the morning dew leaves damp droplets on the palm of my cold hand.

The calming silence is briefly interrupted by muffled screams far off in the distance but as soon as they are heard, they carry away on the breeze and are gone.

All at once I feel an overwhelming contentment.

I am all alone in my peaceful thoughts until I glance up.  The sunrise streaks a glow of light upon my cheeks as I watch the familiar face strolling towards me.  I return that beautiful loving smile that fills me with such unadulterated happiness.

Sitting down beside me and placing an arm tightly around my shoulders, the voice greets me.  "Hello my darling Natasha."
