Chase had no idea what to do.

He had this sensation in hs paws to reach out to Skye.  Her sobs were filling his heart with an urge to cry for her.

"I can't woofing believe someone decided to kidnap my mother!  Chase, who'd do such a thing?  She was such a kind woman."

Skye's chest deflated and along with it, everyhing went.  She hated her life right now and wanted nothing but to see her mother.  She had forgotten everything about Chase's question.

Minutes ago, Chase had came to her doghouse to ask her something but was interrupted by her cries.

"Chase, what if...what if she's being brought to the pound?"  Worry laced her tone and Chase felt his heart wince.  "I don't want her to go to the pound, we have to save her!"

They went to Marshall for help.

"We'll have to fly the skycopter!" Marshall insisted.  Marshall offered to drive because Chase didn't know how to fly it and Skye was too devastated to.  "Come on in! And keep your paws in!" he shouted over the ruckus of the helicopter blades.

"It's going to be okay," Chase cajoled.  Skye didn't quite believe him.  She didn't deliver a response instead she sniffled.

Chase pressed a soft kiss on Skye's forehead.  Skye looked at him with tearful eyes and tried not to blush.  Her mother's disappearance was more important than their love.

"Damn dog biscuits,  are you guys really sharing a slobbery kiss in the backseat right now?" Marshall teased.

Skye and Chase grew embarassed.  Chase trained his eyes on the sun disappearing into the horizon.  They were losing daylight which meant they were losing time fast.

Skye was the first to scream.  They all turned to see what was so scary.  A jet was tailing them and fast approaching!  If the jet went any faster, they would crash right into their skycopter!  "We need to go faster! A lot faster!" Chase alerted Marshall.

They boosted the speed up and soon, a missile was flying towars them, accelerating at a much faster rate than the speed they flew at.  They were already at full speed.

Marshall and Chase locked eyes.  "It's time," they said to each other and Skye was confused but nodded anyway.

The missile made contact with the back of their skycopter, deteriorating the engine.  They grabbed onto each other's paws and leapt out into the canopies of the thick jungle below.

What if they don't survive? Skye thought as they fell thousands of metres down and her stomach twisted in pain.

As she fell lower and lower, she realize Chase was nowhere in sight.
