The whisper in my ear made me shiver as the silence of this floor made me feel like I was the only person in this corridor.

The moment I wanted to turn around, I crossed my fingers hoping for it to be anyone but Carmen.

As I turned to face the whespering person behind me, I opened my eyes reluctantly to see a nurse.

"Umm-Umm.. Is my voice this scary?" the nurse asked.

"Oh! No, really I was just -" I stopped thinking of the right word to say which was a little bit too hard to find right now.

Gladly the nurse cut me off:

"I understand" she said smiling "but ANSWER"

It was then that I realized my phone was still ringing in my hand. Immediately, my thumb landed on the screen, declining the call. I knew I couldn't come up with any suitable arguments right now that's why I wouldn't take the risk and answer Carmen's call.

Off to room 208!

I opened the door and it showed Terry's little body and his cute but obviously tired face was now staring at me. I could read in his eyes he wasn't a fan of hospitals.

I stepped towards his bed after closing the door carefully behind me and I felt the urge to stoke his beautiful silky cheeks, even thought they were pale now.

"Heeey" I nearly whispered and Terrence tried to pull out a reassuring smile "How do you feel now? Better?" I asked and Terrence just nodded.

At the remembrance of his violet/blue face color a few moments ago, my breath caught again in my throat and he seemed a lot better to me with his now pale face event though I prefered his fluffy pink  usual cheeks.

"Where is mommy?" Terry asked me his eyes almost watering.

"Sweetie, she's at work now. You know mommy has a lot of work and she's finishing all of it now just to come and see you again. You just need to be patient, okay?" I tried to relieve his pain.

"Okay, I will be patient hopefully mommy and the tooth fairy will come together" He replied weakly though his blue eyes never stopped sparkling.

"Exactly, you little genious!" I said cheering him up.

He then smiled back at me and said: "But Lisa? When are we going back home? I don't wanna sleep here"

"Honey the doctor told me he'll be here any minute to give us the permission to leave" I said as someone knocked at the door "Oh! Maybe the doctor is already here" I whispered to Terrence and noticed the sparkles in his eyes grew even more which made me feel a lot better.

"Baby, I'm heeeeere!" A 40 year old woman said while stepping in the room.

She was really well defined and well dressed; a gray top, a red skirt and matching gray beautiful highheels. Her blonde hair was as perfectly done as her makeup and as he held her purse in a hand, she held a bouquet in the other.

I never thought hospitals of our area were so calm let alone for people as classy as this woman to come here.

But wait! This woman looked nothing like auntie Rebecca, Terrence' mother. In fact, she was the complete opposite protrait though both of them dressed beautifully.

It took me a moment to realize what the woman was saying:

"I'm so sorry! This isn't room 308, is it?"

"It's 208 here!" I replied as the woman practically hit her forhead "Things like this happen, you may just have missed the corridor or the floor" I added.
