Chapter 23

August POV

Me and Riley pulled up to Rema house and quickly got out connecting hands in the process.

"You ready". She said. And I nodded. We slowly walked into the house. And I was just getting nervous I only saw my baby girl once .

"Wait !". I stopped Riley.

She turned around towards me and a confused look flashed across her face. "Whats wrong". She asked me.

"What if she don't want me to be her father ". I asked I knew that question was dumb but I had to say it.

"August she will love you". Riley kissed my cheek and we continued walking .

"Mommy !". A pretty little girl ran up towards Riley.

"Hey sweetheart I want you to meet somebody". The little girls eyes landed on me.

"Mommy's who's this". She asked.

"Kim this is your father". Riley said slowly so she would understand.

She just looked at me and then hugged me. I hugged back smiling. "I missed you daddy". She said .

A tear rolled down my cheek. "I missed you to Kimberly".

She pulled away "now where you been all my life". She said with her hand on her hip. I laughed. "Well daddy had to go away for awhile but I'm back now and not going anywhere". I said back.

* 2 hours later *.

We was now home and Kimberly was showing me all of her toys.

"And this is my american girl doll her name is sally she's white". I laughed at her last word.

"Sally is pretty just like you". I said. She started blushing. "And this is Bob my despicable me doll". She told me.

"What is despicable me ?" I asked ha. She looked up at me in disbelief like she couldn't believe those words came out of my mouth.

"Oh you haven't lived daddy if you didn't watch despicable me".

"Mommy where's my despicable me !". Kimberly called to Riley who was in the kitchen.

"It's in the DVD shelf Kim". Riley said back.

Kimberly walked towards the DVD case and pulled out a DVD box. She then put it into the TV.

"Come on daddy sit next to me". She patted her seat and I sat next to her.

The movie came on and I was into it . This shit was funny asf.

About 40 minutes into the movie Riley walked in. "Girl I know you don't got your father watching despicable me". Riley laughed.

"Mama daddy didn't know what it was so I wanted to show him". She said innocently.

Riley laughed. "Its okay sweetheart now come on let's eat".

We followed Riley to the dining room and sat down. "Mama can I say grace". Kimberly asked.

"Go ahead". Riley replied.

"Thanks you lawd for bringing my daddy here I missted him and now he here forever and thank you for my mama who keeps me on fleek and also the food amen". Me and Riley said amen while Laughing in the process.

"Lawd this child". Riley laughed.

I'm glad to be back .........
