Is the day to bid you farewell.

This is only a 'see you later.'
And this isn't just a 'see you later,'
It's also a 'thank you.'
A thank you for packing your bags
To go on this wondrous adventure
In this blue, blue world with her.
A thank you for giving her
The support and encouragement
She needed to expand her talent
Through practice.
A thank you for never giving up on her,
Even through her highs and lows.
A thank you for sharing your own stories,
And creating unimaginable friendships.
A thank you for being here.
But as one adventure comes to an end,
Another is waiting to begin
Outside your front door.
With her, you have come all this way,
But now is sadly the day
To bid you a 'see you later.'
