Countdown

A/N So the dress on the top is part of the outfit that I think Rose would wear on New Year's. Enjoy!

Rose POV

After some convincing the Doctor to something  for New Year's (It took 2 days, 5 hours, and 7 minutes of buttering him up; one puppy-dog face, and one pouty lip; he was putty in my hands). He told me that if we were going to do this 'unneeded holiday' we're going to it right. I still haven't the foggiest to where he was going to take us to celebrate. 

10:30

"We're here!" he said with his manic grin.

"Just a mo'," I called out. I looked to my bed where the TARDIS had materialized: a lace TARDIS blue dress, glittery converse, and a brown faux leather jacket. After a couple minutes of getting ready I was satisfied with what I did, and headed to the console room. 

Doctor's POV

Rose was bugging me for almost 3 days about New Years, so I had to or I would explode. I decided that we would go to a major event, 'cause if I was actually going to celebrate New Years then it will be the best. I landed the TARDIS in New New New New New New New York, year 2210, to see a much more beautiful sight. Rose Tyler. She was absolutely stunning and I couldn't help but stare. 

"What do ya think?" she said while twirling, snapping me out of my thoughts. 

"Great." I replied. It was the best I could say, under the pressure, but it was the truth.

Rose's POV

As I walked into the console room, the Doctor noticed me immediately. He was staring at me for a while so I broke the silence. 

"What do ya think?" I even twirled for effect. 

"Great"he reassured.

I could sense the awkward silence, so I interrupted it, "So, where and when are we?". 

He got his manic grin back and started to stroll towards me, " New New New New New NewNew York, year 2210. It's not New Earth that we saw obviously, much less... Cassandra filled." he said, hooking his arm with mine and opens the TARDIS doors, "Some of the traditions stayed the same after all these years like," *gestures hand to city* "New York's massive party at the end of the year. Minor detail,... it's a hell of a lot more fun." And with that we headed into the bright lights of New New New New New New New York.

Doctor's POV

We stepped out into the cold winter air of the city. Humans and Humanoids alike walked freely, in short amazing. Rose was looking at me with her classic tongue-in-between-teeth smile. I noticed a carnival and dragged Rose partially there, once she noticed where we were going and ran with me the rest of the way. 

We exited the carnival with: 3 giant stuffed prizes, 18 miniature plushies, 2 painted faces (ours of course), and 1 large blue raspberry cotton candy. We practically skipped to the TARDIS hand in hand. If anything our New Years was just getting started.

Rose's POV 

We went back to the TARDIS after a long day of playing at the carnival. The Doctor told me to change into something a little more formal because he had a surprise. I wonder what he's up to. I went into the TARDIS wardrobe this time and wandered its endless halls. I finally got to the formal dress section and looked at all the options. After a while I found the perfect dress, not a doubt in my mind it was the TARDIS' doing. It had a midnight blue base with rhinestones covering the top and fading out towards the bottom, making it look like stars in a midnight sky. I finished it off with a natural makeup look with my hair in curls swooping to one side and put on basic black heels. I just can't wait to see what the big surprise is.
