Sarah looked at her alarm clock, which was beeping. She laid in bed, remembering it was the first day of school, well, her new school, since she just moved to Ohio. She leaped out of bed and got dressed quickly, ran downstairs to get breakfast but instead, she saw mom and dad standing there.
" Woah there, Sarah!" Mom said as she took a sip of coffee. " Looks like your excited!"
Sarah rushed to the counter and grabbed the box of cereal. " Well, I am somewhat excited but nervous too. What if the teachers think I'm weird? What if I'm the lonely one? What if..."
" Honey, honey, Slow down," dad said,"Just be yourself and everyone will like you! There is nothing to worry about." He smiled.
Sarah ate her last bite of cereal. " Ok dad, I understand. Let me get ready." She ran upstairs and got ready. She brushed her teeth, brushed her hair, got her shoes on and ran downstairs to see dad ready with his car keys. She hugged mom, who was crying.
" My baby is going to 7th grade! Oh my gosh your such a big girl!" She blew her nose with a napkin. " Good luck honey! Oh my gosh..."
" Ok mom! I understand!" She interrupted and gave her mom a hug. " Love you!" Mom kissed her on the head and shed more tears. Sarah made her way to dad's car, and drove off to her new school.
