Malec One Shots

#1- Six Month Anniversary

       Magnus's alarm read 9:37 a.m. when Magnus cracked open one eye. He yawned and sat up, stretching. He picked up his phone off of his bedside table. He turned it on and smiled when he saw the date. This was his and Alec's six month anniversary.
       They had agreed awhile ago that they weren't going to celebrate all the little anniversaries. One month, two month, etc. but this was different to Magnus. Six months was half a year. Screw their agreement.
       He quickly texted Alec, telling him to come over ASAP. He then hopped out of bed and got ready. He went to his wardrobe and tried to find something to wear. He finally decided on a pair of black skinny jeans and the shirt he had worn on the day Alec had asked him out. The same one he had loaned to Alec on their first date. The shirt have him amazing nostalgia so he put it on. He threw on a purple sparkly jacket over it to add some color to his outfit. For shoes he put on black shiny boots. He went to his bathroom and did his makeup, sliding on 7 rings.
        Be then heard a knocking at his door. "Perfect timing." He mumbled, smiling to himself. He went to the door and opened it, to find his boyfriend. He smiled when he saw him. Alec was wearing a pair of loose, dark blue jeans and a black t-shirt.
       "I got your text. Is everything ok?" Alec asked, a hint of worry in his voice. He looked Magnus over, confused as to what had been so urgent.
"Everything's perfect. Don't worry so much, Alexander." Magnus purred. "It's just a very important day."
"Wh-what do you mean?" Alec stuttered, blushing. 'Goddammit.' Alec thought. 'Even after six months he still makes me blush.'
Magnus smirked a little and held up a finger to show that Alec should hold on. He went over to the coffee table and picked up a little box wrapped in silver wrapping paper, bringing it over. "Happy six month anniversary." He smiled, giving Alec a quickly kiss on the cheek as he handed over the present.
       Alec's face lit up with a light dusting of red. "Magnus." He said. "I thought we agreed we weren't going to do the little anniversaries."
       "This isn't little! It's half of a whole year! Very important." Manus defended. "Go on. Open your gift."
       Alec didn't even try to argue. He unwrapped the gift and opened the box to find a simple, silver banded ring. His eyes widened and he stared at it. "Magn-" he started, but Magnus cut him off.
       "Now, this isn't what you're thinking. I'm not proposing to you. I mean, we've only been dating for six months. But this is a promise ring. I'm very serious about this relationship, Alexander, and I intend to stay with you until the day you die. Do you like it?" Magnus asked, smiling at Alec, who was standing there in shock.
       "I... I don't know what to say." Alec said, smiling at Magnus, his happiness clear on his face.
       "Well, 'thank you' is the pretty traditional response." Magnus said, smiling even more. "Here." He took the ring out of the box and slipped it on Alec's finger as Alec but his lip a little. "Come here." Magnus said, pulling Alec close and kissing him. He closed his eyes and let them stay in there own little world for a moment before pulling away slightly. "I love you, Alexander." He purred softly.
       "I love you too." Alec replied with a soft smile. They stared at each other for a moment, just enjoying each other's company
       "Now, come on." Magnus said, straightening up. "I've got lots of plans for today. Shopping, food, a movie, etc. We better get a move on." He took Alec's hand in his own and led him out the door, closing it and locking it behind him.
