Chapter 6

Recap (since its been so long since I have updated)

************************************************************

Taylor was groaning on the floor while James was struggling to get onto his feet.

"You are not going anywhere with that pup! You are going to stay with me Ash"

"pfft you can't even stand up straight and you want me to stay with you...nah I'm not into crippled men...sorry" I said as I tuck my tongue at him and proceeded to escape James territory with deacon.

"letgo"

And with that me and deacon started for the borders for home....

Present

"Urgh... I know you have an injured arm and all...but do you got be slow as a fucking snail?!" I said through clenched teeth.

"Sorry Beta Ash... but I can't help it... it's a really deep wound" Deacon said whimpering at the end.

A deep growl rumbled in my chest as I continued to practically drag Deacon across the forest floor.

At the moment I was Royally pissed off. One, my wolf Rain won't shut up about James, and two. Deacon decides to become a sack of potatoes right when I need him to be like Flash.

"I'm so sorry Beta that I'm being such a drag. I rea-" Deacon began but I quickly cut him off with a murderous growl.

"Yea, yea I know you're so sorry and cue in the crocodile tears. FYI Frost, I have a short temper when things like this happen, and sorry is just a word I have heard too many times in my lifetime. If you truly are sorry, then shut up and start moving faster. If you truly want to be known as a member of the Dark Shadows Pack, then I suggest stop being a pussy and be a man." I snapped

Looking down to my feet where Deacon was now on the floor... a pang a regret filled my body. Deacon was truly in a bad condition. Now looking more closely to his injured arm. It seemed that his entire left shoulder was ripped open. Bits of bone was showing here and there. And blood was gushing out. The claw marks trailed down and stopped at his forearm.

"Well shit" I mumbled.

"You weren't joking"

Deacon shook his head.

Sighing out loud, I said.

"well...fuck... you sack of potatoes" I mumbled.

Deacon was chuckling when three howls pierced the afternoon air.

Shivers ran down my spine as a hauled deacon onto my back.

"I am not about to be taken into a cell by those weak pathetic mutts" I growled as I started to run.

Deacon kept groaning as I attempted to run. Instead I was weaving wobbling.

"Goddamn!!! What did you eat today, a cow?" I yelled.

"Does a burger count?" he asked.

I just growled.

The dry leaves under my feet were making loud noise. I hated how it gave me away.

"Ohmyfucking Goddess" I breathed out.

Looking up I realized that the border wasn't far.

"okay...I can see the border... once we pass it we are on no man's land... just a little bit more"
