"Yo Kay ya showcase is today get ya' ass up nigga" . Said the voice
I woke recognizing the voice as my older brother Jayden . Showcase ? What Showcase ? Awww Shit my basketball showcase I totally forgot . How i could forget the most important thing in my life. I checked the clock 6:45 . Fuck . I literally ran to the shower. I showered , did my morning routine and lotioned my body . I put on my tank black dress and i tied the botton into a knot , i grabbed my burrandy (spell check) long sweater , and i put on my jordans 7s borandax . 7:30 where tf do the time go yo . I grabbed my gym bag making sure everything was in there . "Jaydennnnnn." I yelled . "You Ready .?" . I just ran signaling him that is was a yes . Off to school

Today is going to be a long day , but something good is going to happen i can feel it .

I walked into school going straight to the gym as always . "Good morning Kaylan ." Said Coach White . "Morning Coach White , Lemme get 1 chicken sandwich." I said givin him 3 dollars . "Here you go , you need all you can eat for that Showcase Kaylan ." He said . "I Know this my big break man ." I said taking the sandwich. " Ima be late , Ill see you afterschool Coach White . " i ended . He just nodded his head as i walked off . Coach White Is the varsity boys coach . When i first got here he noticed i had talent and he's been my mentor ever sinc we met . I headed to my 10 block (1st period) and sat by myself . I needed to gather my focus for the day and plus i dont like Math. .
*bell rings*
Everybody rushed into class then the announcements came on .

After they said my name everybody looked at me . Like bih wtf you looking at but i ain say dat na . I jus started on my work . I may not like math but i got B so im straight . Jus hopes this day goes by fast .

We are in Atlanta for this highschool showcase and i decided to bring my daughter Riley along with me & the guys . " You going to be good today." I asked Riley . She nodded her head paying attention to her dolls . "Yo Curry What All You Know Bout This Highschool?" Asked Klay walking in with the rest of the team. " All I know is they got an 7 time championship boys team and a 6 time championship girls team." I said . The school really seems like its all about basketball. "Wow now you know the coaches be getting paid big bucks ." Said dray . " But you gotta remember its still highschool." I said . " I jus googled Miller Grove Highschool and a video of a girl playing popped up . " said harrison . He passed me the phone 'Kaylan Harris a.k.a The Female Stephen Curry' . I read that part out loud and everybody said what . I hooked the phone to the tv so we all can watch . Then i pressed play . The first thing we see is a purple and white jersey with #30 shessh no wonder . It showed her doin im assuming her pre-game warm up whivh was smilar to mines i must admit shes got handles . But handles are not everything . Kaylan Harris I Have To Remember That Name . She has long brown & black curls. Thats all i could see . Now its time to head out

The last bell officially jus ranged and i was makin my way to the gym to warm up . Our game dont start til 7 and the boys play at 5 . So i have 2 hours to chill. I got downstairs on the gym floor and looked around tonight is basically my last try to get into college, but i plan on having fun while i play . "Hey Coach Jones ." I said walking into my coach office . "Hey Kay , you ready ? " she asked . I hesitated "As Ready As Ill Ever Be." I said . " Good , Yall Dont Gotta Change Now Jus Wait A Lil Bit Like 6:30 ." I nodded my head knowing i had to rely the message to the rest of the team . I walked out and saw the event staff settin the chairs for the bleachers and the janitors letting out the stands . " Hey Kaylan." I turned around seeing Colin Young . Colin Young a 6'3 shooting gaurd and mighty fine might i add . "Wassup ?" I asked looking up at him. " You Look Ready ." He said fixing his jeresy . "Me ? you look ready." I said pointing at him . " Yea you know me." He said . I just rolled my eyes and walked to where the boys was warming up at . To Coach White Im Like An Assistant Coach I guess you could say . "Maurice , you suppose to be shooting around." I yelled . "My fault." He said . Maurice was my first friend when i moved here and still is . We been thru alot together , he's like another big brother . Alterique is the lucky one out the bunch he got a scholarship to UCONN before the season started and im proud of him. It was now inching closer the 5 o'clock which means people started coming in and i had to move the boys to the locker room . They moved and Coach White followed them of course i couldnt go in . I went and took my seat in the stands carefully watching the clock tick down .

We made it to the school and i must say its big . Our coach walked us to the gym and we got in for free because were the warriors. We all sat in the bottom bleachers near this girl that was beautiful but looked familiar . Thats when the teams came out to warm up . I gotta root for the home team the wolverines . Those banners says alot so it was my deal breaker. I looked over and noticed the girl was walking on the court and pulled one of the boys aside and helped him stretch . She must be a manager but that hair is familar but it cant be ..... Or can it ?
