You would walk down the dark and empty streets, a feeling of relaxation washing over you. You had decided to play video games before going for the walk you had wanted to go on earlier. That had taken up your time for a few hours.
You sigh lightly, looking up at the sky, noticing that a full moon was out today. A smile graced your lips as you thought about what a beautiful night it was. Tree's casting shadows onto the ground, their branches swaying gently in the small breeze. The moon giving out just the right amount of light and the clouds barely existent as the stars shone brightly.
This was the perfect night to be out. You felt as if nothing could go wrong, that's what it seemed like anyways.
The sad truth was that just a few houses away her friend was being brutally slain, crying out your name after seeing you pass by. Her parents would soon regret having bought a house with soundproof walls and windows. Their daughter now half dead and soon to be hung around the house like a Christmas decoration.
Little did you know.
You would continue to walk down the street, not a care in the world before you thought to yourself. "Probably not a good idea to go out at night while a killer is out there..." You knew about the killings. They were all over the news. You actually would look at the crime scene photos from Google images. They didn't bother you. You had seen that kind stuff since you were a child. It didn't even bother you back then.
You would check your pockets, happy to have found your switch blade, your neighborhood wasn't the safest so you wouldn't be the first to have carried a weapon around these streets.
You would then stop in your place, face palming lightly as you had realized your mistake of going out at night. 1. There's no one around. No one to hear you scream. No one to stop you from getting killed in time. 2. You had only fifteen percent of your phone's battery left because you had forgotten to charge it after watching a couple of gaming walkthroughs. 3.... "Ah just forget it" you thought. "Stop being an idiot and relax, you are a fucking badass you knows how to use a knife and defend herself. There is no need to worry about something that probably won't happen."
You would start to walk again, taking in your surroundings, you were only a couple streets away from your house, not too far away. You would continue to walk, a few minutes later you would get a feeling that something was wrong. You would shrug it off. You didn't have time to be worried about a stupid feeling. Yolo.//that was chapter 2. The chapters will get longer but right now I'm hungry and trying to talk on Twitter while writing this so you would see where I would get distracted.
