Long Distance Lover

Part 3

It took us quite a while to arrive at our destination, so I made use of my time, I took some selfies on snapchat and I then got hungry so I looked in my bag and found a caramel waffle so I eat that.

I then fell asleep for a bit and just dreamed a bit.

I had a dream of how my day was gonna go, it was of me stepping foot into the venue and I sat down at an empty table and I started texting some of my pals because there was no one to talk to here, I was just sending a text when I heard a similar laugh I had heard a few years ago.
I couldn't remember who's it was until I looked up and the laugh matched the face I had known most of my life.

It was like time was frozen but then there was this big halt and I opened my eyes only to be flashed in the face with a red traffic light.

"Were nearly there Nicole!" My dad told me.

I got excited and opened my front camera just to make sure I didn't look like I had just slept, I fixed my hair in place and before you know it were we outside the gates of the place.

I remembered the dream I had a few minutes ago and wondering what it was about.

My dad greeted some friends and so did my mother, I found a random table and sat down there, my little brother followed me and so did my mother, my dad stayed behind to catch up with some of his friends.
I looked around, there were some girls my age but I'm not sure I would have liked them, they were very overdressed and have lots, when I say lots I mean a LOT of makeup on. How do girls do it?

I didn't want to socialise with them so I just stayed seated and played some games on my phone. I bored from doing that so I texted some of my friends, and told them to help me with my boredom.

I was just gonna finish my text to Emily when this laugh filled my ears, I turned my head to see where it was coming from only to look at the face of my childhood friend.
I didn't know if he knew who I was because I hadn't seen him in five years, we had both changed, grown up, went through puberty.
But when I saw him I still saw the little child I had known as a kid.

5 years ago

We were going to Munro house, I couldn't wait!
We were on their front porch when we got out the car and knocked on their door to greet them.
We entered their house, I saw my friend Munro, I was kind of shy of him at first, so I didn't look at him much but I gave him a few shy looks.

I sat in the living room and eat some brownies and juice, I sat there for a while, until munro popped his head through the door and called me to him.
I didn't know what to do, but my parents and his parents told me to go with him.
So I did and I took my juice box with me, I ran wondering what he wanted, then that was when I saw he had two big water guns in his hand, munro knew me too well.
A big smile spread across my face and we went to fill them up, after we saw that munro 2 brothers were out in the garden, we planned to splash them from both corners.

He went to one end of the garden and I did too, he mimed 3, 2, 1 and then we both ran in and soaked his brother's, but they were bigger than us so they grabbed the guns off us and soaked us, me and munro ran for our lives.

It was fun really it was, after that I got dried up and went out the sofa swingy thing in the garden, there was a beautiful sunset and the air was warm, so I made my way outside and perched on the comfy swing and just lied down and thought about everything that had happened.
The sunset was breathtaking, so many mixes of colours, there's was pink, orange, yellow, crimson honestly it was the prettiest sunset I had ever seen and the view from munros house was the best.

I closed my eyes shut for a while, that was when I feel the sofa swing get heavier on my right side.

I peeked one eye open only to be met by munros face looking at mine.
He smiled at me and I did the same before closing my eyes again.
I felt my self falling, only to realise I had fell asleep on munro.
Moments later I opened me eyes to look at munro but he was asleep, the sky was a darker shade of the colours before and it was getting cooler.
Before I knew it something grabbed my hand, I let out a tiny gasp.
It was munro, I looked at him but he was still asleep, maybe he had a bad dream or something.
So I grabbed the snug blanket which was near my feet and put it around us and leaned on munro and fell asleep.

5 years later

I saw his face again, he saw mine.
We shared a long look...
