To say that things with Braydon have been weird for the past couple of days since the 'incident' would be a complete understatement. Like seriously. Not only have my new found feelings and the fact I'm absolutely terrified of them but also the fact that he knows about, well technically he doesn't know about anything but he does know something's up, Max. Augh!
"Gil what's wrong? You've been acting really weird ever since the trip into town." The protectiveness in my brother's voice was dominant, I guess he noticed me being a little off. After I stayed silent he continued, "Listen Gil I'm your brother you can tell me anything. I pinky promise."
That made me crack a smile, the pinky promise, in our line of work you can never be sure about anything, but if there's one thing that our family can be sure about, it's the pinky promise. I decided that I might as well tell him, he'd probably figure it out anyways. I mean he is our fathers son, as as they like to say a lot they are 'Spy'. So I told him, everything, I told him about Braydon, Aunt Mace, Max, everything.
"Listen Gil, I'm your brother and I care a heck of a lot about you, so trust me when I say I'll protect you from Max this time, I promise. Oh, and don't worry about Aydon, he likes you too. But seriously, He's Aunt Mace's kid? I so should have guessed." Blake exclaimed after I explained everything that's happened.
"I know right, it's just so... Unbelievable. But you know what? Whatever, at least I'd like my in laws." After a few minutes I'd noticed Blake trying to hide an amused smile and realized what I'd said, my eyes instantly widened and I blurted out, "That's not what I- I mean- Um- Blake you know- You know what I'm just gonna stop talking now."
"That's a good idea. Wouldn't want my future brother in law to hear you. He might think you're a stalker. Or worse, a normal teenage girl." My stupid brother gasped.
"Who's gonna be Blake's future brother in law, and what did you not want them to hear?" A voice stopped me from responding.
"Nothing!" I blurted out the same time Blake calmly said, "Oh, nothing important."
You see why I'd be petrified of this guy, one look at him and all soy training goes out the window, this is an exceptional example considering the simple fact that we learned how to tell and distract a person from a lie automatically in eighth grade.
"Oh, really Blake, are you sure, your sister doesn't look to sure to me." Braydon teased me, making my cheeks go red.
"Don't worry Aydon, you'll figure it out soon enough." Then my brother did what mom does best and got lost in the crowd.
"So what was that about GG?" Bray asked.
"Listen Bray I have something I need to tell you..." I hesitated.
"Yah?"
"I um- I um- I like, you know I like-" Bray then interrupted me by leaning forward a little so that our faces were only a few inches apart.
"Who do you like?" He whispered, his minty breath blowing in my face causing me to shiver.
"I like you." And that's all it took for him to lean even closer and capture my lips with his.
After a few moments we pulled away for air and he whispered, "Don't worry my precious GG, I like you too. And soon enough GG might have another meaning."
After he left I just stood there staring into air, completely star struck. After a full 4 minutes and 47.3 seconds of standing there in the crowded corridor I came to my senses and disappeared into the shadows.
Well that was awesome.
Finally something we agree on.
