Sock tapped his fidgety fingers on the ground nervously as he waited a few minutes outside of Jonathan's house. After a little while, he slowly floated his way up to Jonathan's bedroom window and phased through it, entering his room. It was awfully dark, so the glowing coming from the computer screen on Jonathan's face was quite surprising. Jonathan heard a loud squeak coming from his right, so he turned his head only to see Sock standing there awkwardly, not knowing what to do. Jonathan took his headphones off and raised an eyebrow at Sock. "Uh... you need something?" Jonathan asked, making the situation even more awkward. "Um! Oh, uh, no. Not... not really. I just..." Sock was at a loss for words. He was fumbling like crazy and looked like his cheeks were about to burst into flames. "Dude, you okay?" Jonathan asked yet another question, leaving Sock even more embarrassed than before, if it were possible. "Okay! Um, Jonathan, I was wondering if maybe you wanted to... cuddle?"

"Woah. What." It didn't seem like he was necessarily questioning Sock, he was just in shock.

"Y'know, I just. I get kinda lonely sometimes, and since I'm not alive, your warmth is super comforting! Ahg, I'm so sorry. I just..."

Jonathan sighed. He then pulled the sheets off of him invitingly, but Sock was unsure about what to do. "Get in."
Sock didn't waste a second. His face lit up happily as he jumped into the bed right next to Jonathan. Jonathan pulled the blanket over both of them, shut off his laptop and placed it on the small table next to his bed. Sock snuggled against Jonathan lovingly, smiling while doing so.

"Thank you so much, Jonathan! Ha, I didn't expect you to react so calmly. I thought you'd be mad at me and-"

"Just shut up and sleep. Or... do that weird thing you do instead of sleep." Jonathan interrupted.

"Hey! I just... rest."

After about 10 minutes, Jonathan fell into a deep slumber, arms wrapped around Socks back as Sock lay on his chest. Sock relished the feeling of having something this warm and alive right next to him. Jonathan's comforting aura engulfed Sock, making him feel calm and almost sleepy, even if he couldn't sleep. Sock closed his eyes and quietly hummed to himself, rubbing his face up against Jonathan's chest as he breathed deeply.

He stayed this way for the entire night, only until about 20 minutes before Jonathan had to wake up and get ready for school. He lazily got up from the bed, looked back, and gave a somewhat sheepish, warm smile at him. Sock then left the house and carried on. He felt lucky to have Jonathan in his life.
