Collin trudged throught the strangely empty subway station. He held a half empty bottle of scotch in his right hand and a cigarette in the other. He had been down on his luck ever since he came to New York and the subways had served as his home for almost a year now. It was two minutes until midnight, "great.." he sighed. The next train wouldn't get there for another forty-five minutes. As if it had read his mind, a train pulled up and stopped. Collin suddenly was scared, he had a very bad feeling. He shook his head, took a hit from his cigarette, and a large drink of his scotch as he stepped onto the train. He looked around the car he was standing in as the train started to move. He was alone. He shrugged and crushed his smoke against the side of the car. He drank the rest of the scotch and dropped the bottle, he then passed out into a drunken sleep. Everything was burning, Collin shot out of his seat, the whole station was burning around him, but the train kept moving along. Alot faster than usual, Collin looked aroun frantically for help. There was a man, homeless like Collin, his look suggested. He was standing at the back of the subway car. "Whats going on?" Collin shouted, his heart was pounding wildly in his chest. The man looked up sadly, but didn't say anything. "We have to get out of here!" Collin cried, "Now!" He grabbed the man's arm, but quickly pulled his arm away. The man was disentigrating. "W-what the.." Collin's voice shrunk as the man quickly dissapearing man laughed, "We're all gonna burn...," He laughed again, "Burn..," and then he was gone, nothing but a pile of ash. Collin awoke with a scream. "Hey you alright, buddy?" Collin realized he had fallen into the floor. "Names Jim," The man chuckled, "But most folks just call me Jimbo." He held out his hand, Collin nodded and took it. He was still breathing hard from his nightmare. "I'm Collin." He said breathlessly. "Took quite a spill there." Jimbo laughed. "You gonna be alright?" Collin's head was throbbing, but he nodded again. "Yeah, i'll live." He chuckled. "Smoke?" Jimbo held out a pack of Chesterfields. Collin gratefully took one and lit it.. He took a long drag, and raised an eyebrow, "So where you from Jim?" Jimbo was currently lighting his own Chesterfield. "Alabama, hitchiked all the way up here." Collin didn't answer, he was staring at the ominous figure making his way to the train. He was wearing a long black coat, dark sunglasses (even though it was 2 in the morning) he also had jet black, shoulder length hair. "Great, i'm stuck in a subway car with a freak and a hillbilly." Chris thought to himself. "You think i'm a freak?" The man asked. His voice was neutral but threatening all the same. Collin was stupified. "I, uhm.. I didn't mean- wait, did you just read my mind?" Collin asked, wide-eyed. "I did, indeed." The man laughed eerily. "I did read your mind. I know everything about you Collin Mathis, born in Los Angeles, May 10, 1990. You have a very dark soul Collin, you and your friend James both, have done terrible things. You died on your way to this very subway station Collin. Alcohol and cigarettes aren't good for you. Guess they caught up with you." He moved closer to Collin until he was just inches away from his face. "Now you get to stay at my place." He whispered as everything burst into flames around him. Collin heard Jimbo scream. "My name, Collin, is Lucifer. And if you haven't been able to tell, your actions have put you on a subway straight to Hell. Your going to burn my friend, burn, burn, burn." Collin could barely hear Jimbo's screams over his own as the Devil himself placed his hand on his shoulder.
