My father is the boy who lived

My second year at Hogwarts....

Hi, I am Lily, Luna, Potter and I am 13 years old. Yeah, yeah my dad is Harry Potter now that's the only thing you will see in me. Oh look it's the daughter of the boy who lived. He was the one who defeated you know who (term used just in case he came back to life). He snapped the Elder Wand. He threw it into the water even when he could have had all that power. He this he that. You know just once when I say I am Lily Potter I would like to hear; cool. Or even better; ok. It's so annoying that every time I mention my name I hear "Your father......" And then I stop listening I could go on and on about my father but I gues I should move on to the rest of my family. My mother is Gineovra Potter (though you may know her as Ginny Weasley). I have 2 brothers Albus Severus Potter and James Sirius Potter. I know, I know, my dad is kind of obssesed with naming his kids after people kind of annoying but oh well, could be worse I guess.

This morning I woke up really early and I mean like 6:00 am early I didn't mean to, but I guess that's what happens when you're super excited, and boy did I have a reason to be excited. "My second year at Hogwarts!" I squealed when I woke up I suddenly realised it was 6am and if I didn't keep it down, my brothers would bang on the wall and tell me to shut up. I got ready quickly and crept out the door expecting to see the light off, but it was on. I walked down the stairs bewildered just to see my family eating breakfast. Looked like my family was just as excited as me "Seriously?" I said. James burst out laughing (Sirius was his second name after all). I had cornflakes for breakfast stupid wizard regulations I had to eat cornflakes it wasn't too bad considering I guess. I went upstairs to my bedroom to get my luggage, I had packed it the day before. Some people may say unorganised but James and Albus hadn't packed it until today. We put our luggage in the car and my dad started driving us to King's Cross Station.

We arrived at King's Cross Station soon after. I dragged my suitcase towards platform 10 it didn't take us long to get to platform 9 3/4. I shivered even though I had been through it before it still gave me the creeps. "You go first." I ushered towards my brothers. "Ok scaredy cat," Albus teased. I shoved him into the platform I knew you could walk through it but I would have been much happier if he had just slammed into the wall. James ran through without a care in the world. I took cautious steps towards it and when I reached the platform slowly put one foot in first. For a millisecond everything was black then I came out on the other side. Phew, I breathed a sigh of relief I waited on a bench with my family for the train to arrive. Then I saw it, the train that would take me to Hogwarts for the second time. Me and my brothers eagerly hopped aboard I sat near to the back. James and Albus sat a few rows in front of me. The train started going I waved frantically to my parents out the window who waved back equally cheerfully. I carried on waving until they were out of sight, this would be a long journey.

I sat and looked out the window for a while. Then I realised there was a girl sitting next to me, she saw me looking at her. "Hi!" she said rather cheerfully she had brown hair and brown eyes she looked like a first year. I smiled "Hi," I replied. "What's your name?" she asked. Oh no here came the end of everything wait, she didn't have to know my full name. "Lily." I answered. "Cool, I am Vannesa." she told me. "Cool," I smiled. Yes! She didn't know who I was. Vannesa seemed satisfied with that answer. I went to go and change into my uniform, we still had a while to go but you could never be too prepared and I didn't want to have to rush at the last minuite. I changed quite quickly and I have to admit I looked pretty cool in my uniform I waved my wand around a bit and then went to sit down again. A lady passed with some sweets "Do you want anything girls?" She asked us. "I'll have a chocolate frog please, do you want anything? I asked Vannesa "No thanks" she replied. I handed the lady the money and she gave me the chocolate. Albus Dumbledore I read aloud. He used to be my father's teacher, I already had one. I would give it to Albus, he already had 5 because everyone gave them to him, but he liked them. I quickly ate my chocolate frog's legs so he wouldn't run away. I slept for the rest of the journey.

Vanessa shook me awake. "Wake up we're here!" she shouted. Well she was subtle wasn't she! I tiredly waked out the train. Woah, every time I saw it I was amazed. "So big!" Vanessa exclaimed. This was clearly her first time coming here. I smiled as I remembered being just as excited when I first came. Vanessa had to go because first year's traditionally go in boats. I got in a carriage with my brothers I didn't think they would let me but I guess they had the same problem as me making friends. They started talking amongst themselves obviously not including me in their conversations. Soon afterwards we were there. I stood smiling at the Hogwarts gates. We were here.
