Nicky was used to having her face planted in dirt on a daily baises. She could hear his heavy breathing above her. He was angry at her once again. He held her face firmly down, and she tried to squirm free, but no matter how much she thrashed and kicked, he refused to let her up. She could feel dirt and dust fill her lungs. She tried calling up to him, telling him she couldn't breathe, that he was killing her. But no matter how many times she screamed for him to stop, he wouldn't stop. He wasn't hitting as usual, instead he held her head tightly to the ground, not once letting her up. She couldn't get any air to her lungs, tears fell silently from her eyes as she slowly felt her life leaving her body.

He suddenly got off, she turned and coughed for air, her throat stung, and her body ached from the lack of oxygen. She looked up at her father, and for the first time she had fear in her eyes. He seemed to notice, and kicked her swiftly in the head knockng her unconcious. She felt tired, and weak when she awoke two hours later in complete darkness.

She noticed she was in her woods out in the back yard. She could barely see the outside lining of the house. She slowly stood her aching body up. She stretched out her limbs and began coughing like a crazy woman. Her throat throbbed and she needed water. She ran to the house only to find the door locked. Of corse he would lock her out, in her time of need. She ran around the side of the house her body protesting every movement. She needed a drink though. It was getting harder to breathe with all the dirt and dust trapped in her throat. When she came to the hose she turned it on an guzzeled down as much water as possible.

After she could finally breathe right, she went to her front door and banged hard on it, screaming for someone to let her in. The cool november night was leaving her chilled to the bone. Her mother whipped open the door. There was no sorrow in her eyes, she just snapped at Nicky to wash herself up. Nicky quickly ran up to her bedroom. She looked at her self in the mirror. Her face had cuts and scrapes in random places and she had a big bruise by her temple were her father kicked her. Shes lucky he didnt kill her.

She grabbed a towel and went quickly into the bathroom. She slowly undressed her self. Her body aching under all the swift movements she was doing. When she fully naked she looked over her body. Old and new brusises covered her. She looked like a purple, green, and tan dalmation. Tears leaked from her eyes and she scanned her broken body.

She jumped at the sound of a knock on the door. She stayed completly still.

"Sissy?" She let out a breath she didnt know she was keeping.

"I'm getting dressed. I'll be out soon." She said opening the door just a crack. He nodded his little head and she quickly closed the door when she heard movement coming from the door opposite. Nicky turned on the cold water and let it roam all over her body. She tried scrubbing off all the dirt from her body. She cleaned all her cuts quickly and stepped out of the shower.

She put on a baggy T-shirt and some of her what used to be her older brothers jeans. He had died last year in a drunken car accident and her parents refused to buy her any new clothes so she was forced to wear boy clothes.

"Nicole! Get you ass down stairs." Her mother called up to her. She winced at the sound of her mothers voice. Knowing that some how she had done something wrong again.

"Coming." She hollared back. Throwing her dirty clothes in the wash room and brushing her hair out, before running down stair. "Yes?"

"Sissy!" Little Noah ran up to his big sister and gave her a big hug. She hugged him tightly until her mother ripped him away from her.

"Mommy no!" He cried trying to go back to Nicky. His mother tore him around and slapped him hard across the face.

"Dont touch her." She spat at him. "She's disgusting." Her voice laced with venom as she spoke of her daughter. Nicky winced slightly at her mothers words but didnt say anything.
