The next morning Nicky woke soaked in sweat, breathing heavily. She shot up out of bed. Tears streaming down her face. The pain was becoming so difficult, she still hadn't told Courtney what had happened that horrible night she decided to leave, and she didn't plan to. She didn't want any pity from anyone. Nicky was to strong for that.

She knew that today was going to be a cleaning day, and she would set her mind to that. Tears streamed down her face silently as she tried her hardest to stop crying. It made her feel so hopeless. Last night after Noah had gotten off the phone with Nora, Nora had asked to speak to Nicky. She told Nicky to never call again, that she didn't want to know where they were. She told Nicky that Tom was pissed they had left, but hes been drunk the past three days, so he hasn't done anything about it. They had hung up without a single I love you.

Nicky had always had the pefect life, she used to be happy. Her parents used to be happy, they used to celebrate birthdays, and go on trips, but after Tommy died so did something in her parents, they blamed her for everything that went wrong in their lives. Espeacially Tom. Nora soon cut her out of her life making Noah her everything, and Tom began beating her daily. Every night Nicky lived with the nightmare of every single punch, every single slap, every single thing her father had ever done to her she relived every night.

She didn't realize she was going through all those horrible memories until Noah came running through her bedroom door holding a plate of freshly baked pancakes. Courtney must have woken up early to make them speacial for Nicky. They were her favorite.

"Morning sissy!" He shouted happily. Bringing the plate over to her with two forks sticking out of it. "Wanna share?" Noah was short for a six year old and he looked so tiny as he held up a huge plate of seven or so pancakes. Nicky laughed picking him up onto the bed and they ate peacfully on her bed.

Courney and T.J came in an hour later and they all laid in bed the entire day, all thoughts of cleaning and the past gone from mind. The boy fell alseep in the girls arms and Courntey stared at Nicky. "So are you gonna tell me what happened four nights ago?"

Nicky snapped her head to her bestfriend. She shook her head no. "I don't want to think about it. We need to find jobs." Nicky said changing the subject. Courtney understood Nicky wasn't ready and ran to the kitchen to grab a news paper, the girls went through the job section circling the ones that seemed fun, instead of cleaning tomorrow they would visit some of the places and if they landed one they would put the boys in daycare. Nicky was a little heisitant at first but knew it would be better than asking some stranger to do it.
