Going Public

"Milly, I hope you don't mind, but we will need to make a video about how we have adopted you!" Zoe says with a partly happy; but partly worried expression on her face.

"I'd love that!" I say excitedly. This was the moment that I realised I would get to be in their videos!

"Okay, I'll set up the camera and you and Zoe can get ready!" Alfie says to me  happily.

"Let's go!" We say in unison.

I go up to my room and put on some clothes that caught my eye (a white cropped shirt, some black leggings, a pair of denim shorts). After that I begin to look through some drawers and I notice a small desk in the corner of my room with a pot of makeup brushes on and drawers full of makeup. I recognise a lot of things. There are all three naked pallets and all three chocolate bar pallets. "Oh my god!" I whisper to myself quietly. This must have costed a fortune. There is also a drawer of lip products. Some of the drawers haven't got anything in because they're probably for face makeup and she wouldn't know my shade.

I apply a pink, natural smoky eye using the naked 3 palette, then put on some mac lipstick and I am ready to go!

"Hi, gorgeous!" Zoe says to me when I walk in to hers and Alfie's room. We spend a while planning the general stuff that would happen in the video then we begin.

I press record on the camera as I am not going to be in the shot straight away.

"Hello everybody, today I have a very special announcement! I am being joined by Alfie!"

"What's up guys!"

"But also by a very special guest!"

I come on to the screen

"This is our adoptive child, Milly!"

"Hi!" I say to the camera

After a while if chatter about me and how the videos are going to work we end the recording and Zoe, Alfie and I edit it together like a big, happy family!

Alfie and Zoe both post it at the same time and then there was no going back about my adoption being public.
